Often car companies offer a rebate or the low rate. If you do the math the rebate is often for more than the difference in interest payments between the low and normal rate.

People have been saying that about every presidential candidate for as long as I can remember. Both parties say that about the other. I’ve long ago figured out we are not that fragile.
@PixelTron@lemm.ee
@rimu@piefed.social @breadsmasher@lemmy.world I’ve lived next to both, and it makes no difference. Both are good neighbors. I won’t live near coal power plants or oil refineries though.
Why not get a loan and buy the house as narmal?
Many common mushrooms look the same. If you are not an expert you may miss a small difference and so misidentify what you are looking at.
If you don’t they will comnit more fraud.
I’m not sure where the balance is, but it isn’t at not looking for fraud.
The downside could be something that nobody has imagined yet. That is the problem with change. I’m not against this, but I demand reasonable study. (but not unreasonable levels - vaccines and GMO have been studied enough to conclude they are generally safe despite people yelling more study needed)
Possible, but it may come with downsides you don’t like.
There are lots of great choices. I personally like natural oil stones. For rough work I will go with india stones, then fine Arkansas stones for the finish. Others like waterstones but I find water messier as the stones need to soak (not all do, but some do). I find diamond stones are too course but maybe the ultra fine grades are good. Sand paper works well at 1000 and 2000 grit but gets expensive fast as the paper wears out fast.
all of the above work though despite what preferences. you will not go to hell or something for a wrong choice. In the end try soemthing and if it doesn’t work for you try something else.
i do have some stones that won’t sharpen my exotic wood working blades, but a kitchen knife won’t be made of those.
Unless you are saving to something big in the near future it doesn’t make sense not to. I have known many peohle to die young. I have known misers who died with millions in the bank. There is no point to money after death (at least not most religions, I cannot comment on yours) earn it, save a little for a rainy day and spend the rest.
they are too small in general. They can’t pay to attract someone who might be willing but isn’t passonate. so often what is left is busybodies who are passonate and you let them do whatever as it is better than doing it yourself - you have other things todo with your time.
for fission, nothing in the atmosphere is fissable and so it can’t. Fusion would be possible but that starts spontaniously via pressure.
at least that is how I read wikipedia, I await a real phyiscist to tell me how close I am.
Not in the suburbs near me - they are all new suburbs build in the last 3-10 years though. (3 years is important as sidewalks are built last so until the houses are all done the sidewalks don’t connect). Older suburbs though, rarely have sidewalks.
Yes they were. It wasn’t right then, and it isn’t right now.
Suburbs have great pedestrian paths - if your only goal is to exercise. Those paths don’t go anywhere, but living in the suburbs I many people using them for exercise.
This is very real. Take an ethics class sometime - indirect effects and what things look like are very important.
Check the mod log yourself. I don’t know how to link it, but it doesn’t take long to find an on topic comment with a ‘right wing’ slant removed in my experience. If right wing comments break rule 1 then I don’t want to be a part of anyplace with rule 1.
Drivers should not be tipped as they cannot do anything different. Either you get there or you don’t. If you get there slower they are incomitent. If you get there faster they broke the law and your tip indicates you enticed them to do so and so you are guilty.
Where I live they got it. While it isn’t law, the local fast food is all starting at $16/hour or more.
Only if rail has to compete with ‘free’ public roads. Private rail had a long history before cars. They were not always loved, but they worked.
