I did this when out with a friend the other night. It was a neat party trick so they could stay in touch with their sister. First time I’ve used it in years of having the phone.
Mine is already water resistant up to a couple feet. No case needed for a coaster.
It would be tempting to have a QR code or nfc tag to stick on appliances that goes direct to a manual on a self hosted service. Would be nice so it’s always easy to get to and specific to the device.
Yea, but you need a 4th guy in the backup car when the dumb shit you do breaks one. And he can carry the tools to fix most things along the way.
A lot of those are very dependent on which tech is in the key fob. They can easily copy old hid prox which just broadcast the UUID of the fob, but struggle with newer tech that does a challenge and response.
If your car is old enough to have a tape deck, they have cassettes that connect via Bluetooth. Just about perfect sound quality since there is no interference.
Yet somehow I still love Married with Children.
Then just don’t answer? Why is it so hard for people to understand that just because I call doesn’t mean you need to answer. You’re busy and will respond later, that’s what voicemail is for.
It’s like getting a very long notification for a message. You can either reply now (by answering and talking) or reply later by just ignoring the call and responding in whichever manner you prefer later.
I don’t understand why people think a call has to be answered.
The delta-p videos are wild. The most popular being a crab sucked through a crack in a pipe, not a hole, but a crack no more than mm or two wide.
Her name was Abigail Taylor. She was 6.
Truly a heart-wrenching story. https://abbeyshope.org/abbeys-story/
Can you imagine being the inspector who missed this?
Reading a few articles. It sounds like this was inspected and passed before people got into the pool.
While there are significant regulations around intake pipes, including grates and/or having multiple intakes so that no single one can be completely obstructed to create a suction scenario where someone can be trapped, this particular pipe was found to be plumbed on the wrong side of the pump. It was sucking in water when it was supposed to be ejecting water.
This is serious for the hotel chain, franchisee, installer/contractor, and inspector. This had to fail so many checks to have occurred. It wasn’t a chance occurrence for someone to be sucked in and seriously harmed or killed with the way this was plumbed; it was a matter of time when someone was going to be seriously injured or killed.
Truly a tragedy, and I cannot for the life of me imagine the pain that family is going through right now.
Jalapeno rings at del taco.
Sliced jalapeno, breaded and fried. Served with a ranch-esqe sauce.
Simple and so fucking delicious.
Fallacy is a fault in logic, not a falsehood.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc (after it therefore because of it) is a fallacy. Or an appeal to authority is a fallacy.
Why would we need open source instead of just removing drm?
Most people aren’t going to compile old games for new hardware. That’s not an easy task.
Abandonware is a thing, and there are some websites dedicated to it. GOG has done some great stuff releasing drm free games. So long as we have drm free, we can always build emulators to run what can’t natively run on modern systems.
Mk2 is my favorite. My dad had one when I was growing up. My brother then had a mr-s until he totaled it. Now I’ve got a MR-S as well. I love the car. A little under powered at times, but I almost never have the top up. In the mk2, I’d probably have the t-tops off the whole time as well.
Honestly, worth it. The cars are so much fun.
Refrigerated or frozen items can’t be restocked, there’s no real way to tell how long they’ve been out of refridgeration. Hit em in the pocket books.
Let’s see, there was the one I just started anti-depressants and they had unexpected side effects preventing me from getting hard. It was a rather poor sexual experience.
There was the other, which is way more fun, where I befriended a women I was working with. She was lesbian and had a kid. Her last sexual experience with a man was when she was raped. Anyway, she invites me over and after a couple drinks we settle in to watch a movie and start fooling around. I go down on her for a while and then she has me move towards normal sex. Literally ten seconds after I enter her, she excuses herself and goes to the bathroom to throw up. She thought she was going to be okay with it, but had more of a reaction than she expected.
Eventually, she comes back out and apologizes. I didn’t mind though, we ended up just cuddling watching the movie until we fell asleep. 10/10, would sleep with a lesbian again.
We stayed friends for a while, I introduced her to one of my other friends and she dated them for a while. We hooked up a second time a few years later.
There was another one that didn’t understand her kinks or communication yet. She would say things to try and get me jealous. She would also constantly say no or stop during sex and then get mad or frustrated when I would stop. It ended up just being a little awkward, but we were young and dumb. Too young to understand discussing what she wanted before starting sex and agreeing on a safe word.
