  • This is why this debate is stupid. The people having it are arguing against people who have actually played sport their whole lives. I watched an 8th grade travel team decimate what I thought was our very good team. They had a kid show up that was over 6 (in 8th fucking grade) that could play above the rim. He was unstoppable. That kid would easily be a starter in the WNBA and would smash Griner back to Russia. Get 15 or so of those kids and put them up against any WNBA team you want to put together and they’d win handily.

That’s the point. Trans-women athletes are essentially testosterone doping. They’ve got more muscle mass, and a heavier bone structure. That doesn’t go away after the transition. The British Journal of Sports Medicine confirmed that.

In non-competitive leagues, I could care less…everyone can play with everyone…it’s fine. When you’re talking about the Olympics and college sports where the girls have trained their whole lives for a given event only to be beat out by someone who got to take the equivalent of human growth hormones and testosterone is unfair.

  • That’s about the same as half a fairly modest frozen pizza and a soda.

Had to look that up. So…Totino’s party pizza (which I eat every once in a while if I’m being a total slob)…It’s 700 calories for the whole thing, plus throw in a 16oz pepsi and you’re still at only 900 calories. (Which I only drink diet these days)

It doesn’t sound like a big difference, but that’s still usually 100-300 calories less than fast food. They’re both shit for you, but if you get to the brass tacks, those 100-200 calories per meal add up quickly.

That’s 20 extra minutes of light exercise per meal.

(The other thing…I looked up the cheap frozen dinners…they’re surprisingly not bad. Banquet, which you can get for 1-2$ usually, is only 400 calories. The higher priced ones (“Big Man”) things are only 600-700. Again, terrible food, but still healthier and cheaper than McDonald’s)

Anyway…the point…It’d be hard for me to make something as unhealthy as McDonald’s at home. I’ve done it (Eggs Benedict for example), but it took a lot of work.

  • I just don’t get what the end game is for this. Let’s say all of gen Z quits tomorrow over this. All of tech will simply move to Brazil, Eastern Europe, and India.

Since there’s really no social safety net, and we don’t give a fuck about the homeless…they do what exactly?

For example…the fortune 50 I worked at for a while has enough money to stop selling all their products and still be solvent for about a century at their current spend.

If they faced a general strike, they can hold out for generations. How long can the average American hold out for?

This general audience of this site feels like 15-25…they don’t realize the kind of power the big players have.

  • That’s kind of my point…they have no idea what the risks are. I don’t really even think this is a shitty corporate thing. When I do a background check and something like this comes up, I’m not hiring this person. What if she publicly humiliates my company, or my team, or one of my teammates.

You can publicly humiliate me, I’m too old to give a shit.

This will come up on social background checks for the rest of her life. No one is going to risk a hire like that. Especially for something like sales where sales people are a dime a dozen.
