And even if you jump from higher up, it’s the ground that does it, still not the Burj Khalifa.

I have been burnt by Dropbox in the past so now use Syncthing between my desktop, laptop, and a private remote server with file versioning turned on. Trivial to global ignore node_modules, and not giving data to a third party.
It’s saved me on several occasions.
No joy today. Had to look a couple of those up after the fact, and when the definition starts “In American English …”, it makes sense. :(
dave@feddit.ukto Technology@lemmy.ml•2D Chip Breakthrough: 6,000 Transistors, 3 Atoms ThickEnglish1·22 天前From what I can find, the ratio of ‘theoretical speed’ to current commercial ICs in silicon is about 1:20, so that would equate to about a 25GHz chip, all other things being equal (i.e. if that ratio isn’t some inherent feature of silicon…)

First time I’ve known all the categories in advance. Mixed up blue and green for order though :)
Anon misses his dad, but only sometimes. Hmm.
Not for me today :(
Too americentric for me this time. Got the category terriers, but we don’t have ‘Rat’ here and do have Blue Terriers (Kerry and Yorkshire), and so I failed with ‘one away’. Also not really heard of what constitutes a ‘mom’ tattoo :/.
I’m almost more irritated by the use of two hyphens instead of a colon after the first definition. They just didn’t give a shit really.
- me, an ice cube
- can’t wait to get out of this place
- door opens every day, but never get to leave
- anon finally picks me out–this is my chance
- wriggle out of his inept grip
- make a break for freedom under the fridge
- mfw the fuckwit helps by actually kicking me further under

Thanks–it’s not that warm here (uk) but been low 20’s (Celsius) last couple of days so have had it out in the sun.
Been waiting until the top is dry and just a slight bit of dampness underneath (at the drainage holes). From what you said, sounds like erring on the side of drier is better?
I’m using Arctic on iOS. I can’t remember offhand which md library it uses but will check if it’s been tweaked. I guess the real fix should be with the connections site in what they copy when you click ‘share’.
Edit: of course that makes no sense, or it would be broken for everyone. Guess it’s the iOS clipboard or app mangling what’s copied. It’s still early here :/
Subscript and spoilers:

Funny you say that–I was convinced I got it right after 1 error too, and I had shuffled the last 8… Thought I must have imagined it…
If you take a finished product and gradually take away pieces, you can make a progression out of pretty much anything.

Planes fly because aerodynamics.
Helicopters fly because money.
Any type of glue is fine. Just stay away from the cardboard derivatives.
dave@feddit.ukto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you do with the sole purpose of annoying people?English2·2 个月前You can find many discussions about that online, and it’s basically a BE / AE thing. In BE, it’s not correct, hence I’m annoyed a lot of the time.
I’m only on my phone and can’t easily check the data behind this, but a very quick and dirty estimate of number of houses built per undeveloped acre between those 2 countries shows a different picture. Balancing land use has to be a factor, not just absolute number of people wanting houses. Is anyone talking about theoretical population models for different countries?
