The current democratic party isn’t standing for trans rights any better than anyone else. Perhaps individual politicians are, but the party has a lot of de facto republicans in the ranks. So vote for them or not, they aren’t going to make things better for folks that are trans. They also aren’t ending wars, reducing military spending, helping vulnerable people seeking asylum, helping homeless people, providing free mental healthcare or national healthcare at all, and so on. Hell, they haven’t enshrined abortion rights into law in the past almost 50 years.
People vote for democrats because of tradition and lesser-of-the-evils reasons. That’s it. That’s a shitty place to be, and should embarrass us the voters as well as the party.
Trans rights are human rights, and how you treat anyone in your society is how you treat everyone. Democrats were scared in the '80s and '90s to support gay people for this exact reason, and instead of losing elections they started winning because people realize gay people are people. They lost elections because they weren’t brave enough to stand with the courage of their convictions, and in my opinion that’s what they deserved.
Only now? It’s been two years of this and now they’ve had too much? No partial credit should be given for people that continued to participate when it was clear what was happening.
Their mobile service numbers are a tiny fraction of their service appointments. Mobile service isn’t why it’s slow and expensive, Elon is.
You don’t see reviewers complaining because they have a financial and social interest in keeping the lies going. Tesla service centers are shitty, their management is shitty, and Tesla refuses to fix the problem because it costs money.
Sounds like people of Texas should do something. Something about rotten apple and the bunch?
The fewer of these on the road, the better society is. Not a surprise to learn the owner is a scumbag.
Been hearing this claim for well over 30 years.
Anything power saved by hardware design improvements will be consumed by adding more transistors. You will not be seeing a power consumption decrease. Manufacturers of this hardware have been giving talks for the past two years calling for literal power plants to be build co-resident with datacenters.
It’s not secret, people just don’t care. Manufacturers publish power and cooling data on spec sheets, but because people are easily wowed by pure garbage masquerading as breakthroughs and “future”, they simply ignore the costs and push ahead. Add in the fact that most “AI” startups are actual scams, and you’ve got a corporate incentive to pretend this isn’t doing permanent damage too.
It seems like you don’t own a home, so I’m not sure there’s much point in continuing this conversation.
Aww, poor them. They only had enough left over to pay fully for their next place and pocket $50k.
There is little incentive to downsize.
As long as you ignore property taxes and maintenance costs. Which normal people don’t ignore.
… What’s the issue?
They paid for the next place, including fees, and still have $50k in their pocket? How greedy does someone need to be, exactly, before we consider the behavior repugnant?
I think you’ll be very happy with the new addition. I’ve had the Forté AP for a few years now and it has been super reliable, very consistent, and has needed only the occasional cleaning.
So you know if you can get a single dose hopper for the Sette? That’s one accessory I got for the Forté and I seriously love. I use the lid as a cup for measuring beans, it pours into the hopper without dropping a single bean, and it’s large enough to hold beans even for a larger chemex setup.
Applying it directly to plants or mixed into potting soil has very mixed support. It’s decomposing cellulose, like any other plant, so it’s unlikely to be that bad in any application. Mostly it seems like well meaning coffee enthusiasts recommend it, while mixing grounds into compost appears to be widely recommended even by non-enthusiasts.
The thing I avoid like the plague is getting grounds down the drain. Over time they’ll clog drains, collect in pipes slowing flow, etc. and generally be a pain. So I’m careful to get as much out before rinsing as possible without going crazy. I also do not use it in soaps, because soap film plus coffee grounds in your drain is a perfect recipe for those clogged pipes.
I’ve been meaning to try using used grounds in a cooking rub- leaving them to dry and then mixing them in a spice rub or using them as the rub itself. I’d be interested to see if anybody’s tried used versus fresh grounds, and whether there’s a noticeable difference.
Recent studies show it doesn’t work at all, and has likely caused irreparable harm to people whose academics have been judged by all of the services out there. It has finally been admitted that it didn’t work and likely won’t work.
Still blaming government and not uncles, parents, pastors, and family friends. Sounds a lot like projection and obfuscation to me. Trying to throw everyone off their scent…
I’m detecting some guilt. Nobody here called you a Nazi, or anything other than right wing. Which you openly admit to. I mean, you claimed you were a moderate, but have taken up the right wing cause as your cross to bear. It’s funny how you accuse everyone else of calling you a thing. Nobody but yourself said.
You’re not the martyr you’re pretending to be. You’re just being an asshole to people with less power than you. Nobody’s impressed by your tax bill, least of all me. And the fact that you make so much that you have to pay 40k in tax. And yet you still pretend that money would make any difference in your life means you’re spending the money you have foolishly. Your petty greedy asshole. There, now somebody called you names.
