I would never buy from them anymore. I am fairly certain that explains why I could not access my games from years ago.
Your average gay, married, software developer.

You Ex on X…. sounds like a drug thing
The best part of this is that the AI could not come up with original content. All it can do is repeat what humans already output. I would say games journalism is safe from an AI takeover. Now we just need to get rid of the bot spam.
This is why tech monopolies are bad. Google waited until they had a near monopoly on the browser engine and then pulls this shit. Alternatives still exist though, and people will vote with their actions by either not using Chrome or not using those websites that have DRM.
It’s up to you to give your life meaning. Just because things suck, doesn’t mean it’s time to throw in the towel. Imagine the Bronze Age humans, who were getting killed over idols and and some random warlord’s whims. They persisted in the face of adversity so we exist today. Imagine the lives of the enslaved, raped, and oppressed native Americans and Africans in the face of Spanish rule in South America. They persisted with no clear future freedom in sight.
I could go on about humans facing horrible situations but my point is this: throughout history we have always faced a dark situation as a result of other human actions but we always found a reason to persist… or even fight back.
Left from pocket. Wallet goes in right pocket with keys.
I am twice your age and we did it for a while then the schools just stopped. The cult I was in didn’t like the pledge though so I would just stand and murmur certain parts (like “under god”) to avoid being punished.
Kbin has a karma system. Come over here, see the same posts, get internet points.
Smart phones. Not even Star Trek could predict we would all be walking around with a slab of glass that is exponentially more powerful than computers that took up entire rooms, can communicate with others sub-second via voice, images, video, or text, can access the sum total of public human knowledge at the blink of an eye, and can guide you to any location with a map for everywhere you want to go. It’s really powerful stuff and it’s in everyone’s hands.
Threads isn’t federated yet with anyone. The functionality is not there. When/if it does try to federate it will be with Mastodon instances, not kbin/Lemmy.
I am horrible with directions. I keep my Google Maps going when I drive for that very reason. In games, I just use the built-in map. If there is no map and the world is not made of unique geometries and settings then I am out. I will have no way to navigate.
It just takes time for these communities to form.
From my own experience as a user, it doesn’t matter whether you choose kbin or Lemmy in terms of what content you see. However, yes the look and feel for new users is much better with kbin (especially on iOS). Lemmy has some amazing front ends in development though that will eclipse kbin very soon. It’s just a matter of time.
The speed is not impressive, but the fact that did it at all is interesting.
Literally, every day all day in software development. I break up the code into small parts that can be reused and repurpose those small bits to form larger bits so I have less code to type and maintain.
I totally understand that feeling. The lack of representation by the Republican Party due to social conservatism hurts everyone.
Yeah, I went in and blocked every furry magazine I could find (along with many celeb ones). I think NSFW images should only come up for magazines you are subscribed to, or maybe there could be a setting to opt in to it. It was a bit overwhelming at first for the amount of furry and straight porn I had to sift through to get to articles. I want to contribute to the project at some point. Maybe I can put my keyboard where my mouth is when I find time.
It will change. It wasn’t intentional.
Yeah it’s broken atm.
I never had that problem. In general, I don’t worry about sharting. I would see a doctor about it if I were you.
