Horrific state of affairs to let a young, quadriplegic woman, mother to three, fend for herself (at least during the unacceptably long wait while her application for disability support is being processed).
Southern German checking in, the grass in my garden is yellow and brown, except for the bits the sun doesn’t reach (only to the north and close to the house)
Ok can you please write a book about this whole ordeal? And where can I buy it?
Who in their right mind has looked at Twitter these past few months and thought ‘wow, great, let me copy that!’?
I think it just takes time. I’m also posting to a community that currently has 7 subscribers (and I think that includes me, haha) but I enjoy posting there since I care about the topic. Also chiming in to suggest Memmy (which it seems like you’ve used already).
Within the last week alone there have been some quite significant QoL updates and I’m happy testing it further.

Will be removed in 0.18.0 apparently.
With all these SpaceX satellites deployed I’ve been wondering how so many people still got unaffected shots.
Yet another platform to boycott? Excellent!
Some people used a script that edited all their comments to forward to a new instance (in this case it could forward to Lemmy). Perhaps that would be a solution?
For what it’s worth, there is an issue on staying on the same instance when clicking on a different instance’s community and dessalines agreed with the concept, so we might be seeing a change there soon.
I’m at a point where even if I could use third party apps again I wouldn’t return to Reddit. Don’t want to support a guy like spez.
That’s why I used shreddit to delete all my posts and comments on Reddit. It’s not much, but if everyone does it Reddit will feel the repercussions. They won’t benefit from my content anymore.
At this point I would set up a new account for her - I’ve found Youtube’s algorithm to be very… persistent.
