If your snapshots are taken from your main subvolume, then they shouldn’t be incremental backups
So other snaps from other subvols are incremental backups?
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking too.
Thank you for the help.
Thank You. What do you think about this though ?
use manual configurations
It’s just that I prefer more of a GUI way. (Doesn’t mean I hate terminal or anything)
Thank You.
What If I used 2 USBs (one for data and other for 0.5A) + 12V/1A power supply, will it suffice my need of 5V/0.75A + 12V/0.75V?
So unless your computer has charging ports, capable of delivering extra current
Mine is a Laptop but it’s adapter is 19V.
For the product you suggested, I’m looking for cheap products in terms of price.
To transfer data from my old HDD to SSD.
So as per the other person’s reply
Original usb ports often maxed out at 500ma.
So If I used 2 USBs (one for data and other for 500ma) + 12V/1A power supply, will it suffice my need of 5V/0.75A + 12V/0.75V?
I know but I will say that the name is a bit misleading. Electronics includes everything from consumer to industrial, circuit level.
AskCircuitLevelElctronics , AskElectonicDesign maybe appropriate instead of using the Umbrella term of AskElectronics and then restricting it to only circuit level and electronic designs.
This is not any kind of aggression. Just my humble opinion.

Thanks man.
replace reddit for tech questions.
The thing is as of right now most Lemmy users are just tech enthusiasts. We want all sort of people to create a more robust community. I want to Lemmy to fully replace reddit in terms of amount of users, communities, posts and activeness.
Let’s just give Lemmy some time.
Thanks man. It worked.
This is what made Clash of Clans alien to me.
Yeah I was using Nemo.
rsync
Can you give me some guidance on how to copy using snaps rsync in CLI, please?
Edit: I just read the article you linked. I’ll try that and let you know
My snapshot is rsync on ext4.
Thanks anyways.
Surely just copying the files over should do the job?
It gives me an error ‘cannot copy special files’. Even when doing as root.
The article confuses me a bit. But I’ll look into it.
Thank you.
I already have several files on the drive which I want to copy the snapshots.
Won’t clonezilla replace everything?

So, it’s not possible on rEFInd too, right? Similiar to systemd-boot?
I like rEFInd’s appearance but it seems that grub2 has lots of tech support also theming (still will prefer rEFInd for looks)
