The Kbin dev.
The Kbin dev.
Really surprised you haven’t had more bites. Lemmy’s pretty terrible at recognizing trolls. Or maybe it’s just political trolls?
That private prisons have contracts stipulating a minimum number of prisoners with long-term guarantees is dystopian on its own. Every bit past that is a shit cherry on top. The incestuous relationship between government and private industry exists because regulatory capture is ridiculously difficult to frugally undo once contracts are in place. How no one has tracked down the ceos of Corrections Corp of America et al., I honestly don’t know. There’s a very small, specific, actionable set of people making the world worse.
Not sure if you’re aware of what happened to .world for a few months. If you decide to ascribe any political philosophy or moderation ethics to sublinks, it may be worth checking out the attack vectors used over there. Optimizing sql lookups extendedly occupied the .world admins so you’re already a bit ahead of the curve there.
The words of one to be cowed by their malignantly depressed, cherubic god.
24 seems a decent time. Returning to the brain plasticity of a 4 year old with all of the memories and knowledge of a 24 year old would produce a horrific intellect and potential. Society would leap forward in any task you decide to advance. The indescribable isolation may well be the only issue, but piles of money heal many forms of hurt. See: Magic Johnson
It is my political opinion that milk, water, tea (practically water), and vodka are the only beverages fit for human consumption. There’s an argument to be made for certain juices, but it can be safely ignored as Dole propaganda. You only get the two sets of teeth, all.
I personally enjoy the implied sexual abuse as women MacFarlane is dating appear and then disappear from the show once he’s done with them. It really gets my starship engines going.
I just started shroom hunting when I left Reddit. I’ve learned a fair bit about growing mushrooms since then on the fediverse but I know little about identifying them. I keep finding wild portobellos and I’m too scared to try them! (Yes, identified by gill, cap, spore, and stem discoloration)
Or just say “macOS master race” anywhere.
Relatedly, “party is baffled when predatory animal becomes feared and flees at 1/2 HP.” I mean, the dire wolves weren’t attacking for fun, they were looking for a meal and found ostensibly snack-shaped things. If you want the pelts, make certain they can’t escape. Sentinel, nets, Entangle, etc…
The crit line seems a bit hasty. Enhanced crit ranges exist on several monsters, and that makes this magic item even less worth using. Preparing for a particularly powerful foe by bringing your uncanny AC to what you expect to be a 19 on the die is the best use I can find. However, “this does not negate natural 20s” is very fair.
I’m stealing within the first day, pulling off the most ridiculously elaborate pranks within the week, and suicidally bored once the dopamine kick is killed after a month of world-befuddling shenanigans that will hopefully destroy even the conceptual understanding of bureaucracy. Loathe me some bureaucracy.
It’s my gods given right to bend the rules until they tell me otherwise! How Crawford hasn’t errata’d this away with an incredibly simple clarification of “items can’t be transferred between more than 3 people per round of combat” is beyond me. Not to mention the innumerable chances for the DM to say “no” before you gather 6k+ peasants. The line existing presupposes quite a bit.
Yes, but accelerating to a specific speed would necessarily involve certain effects, if your DM is halfway fun. The object is dropped harmlessly upon reaching the final peasant but until then, your enemy is on mr bone’s wild ride. If you really want me to offer specific rule-centric (boring) solutions then reverse gravity, 4 100 foot ladders holding queued action peasants, 4x10d6 fall damage to a bound enemy. 8x if you want to occupy all 8 surrounding spots, but we do half-spaces so I don’t know if that would work for other tables.
Alright, the peasant railgun operates under the principle that the object moves at an infinitely scaleable speed. However, there aren’t any rules about movement at speed interacting with dropped items so peasant cannon’t. But, what are some major speeds that human bodies tolerate poorly? My thoughts go to wind abrasion, desiccation, eyelids tearing, air pressure bursting bronchi, and simple sonic booms. Say you bind an enemy in a net and send them through the peasant supercollider, what speeds would cause the cause the enemy to take damage?
We bred dogs specifically to love people and to be expressive in an innately human way, so it feels wrong to kill them. Cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, etc. were bred for food. There’s less betrayal if the idea was always to eat them.
“Laundry stripping is a soaking process where you’re removing the built-up residue: excess laundry detergent, fabric softener, body oils, hard-water minerals… It’s something you do on towels that are already clean, not dirty.”
“Fill a bathtub with hot water and add a quarter-cup of borax, a quarter-cup of washing soda (a.k.a. sodium carbonate) and a half-cup of detergent. Soak clean towels until the water cools (at least an hour), stirring occasionally. Then run the linens through the rinse cycle in your washing machine and dry them. Make sure to do this separately for lights and darks.”
“Add an optional one to two small boxes of baking soda (especially if you have hard water) to soften and deodorize fabrics. You can also add more borax — up to a cup — if the laundry is moldy or musty.”
There are a few community archetypes that will always gradually, but inevitably, cease to offer anything of substance without a strong understanding of moderation. Unpopular opinions, communities built around making fun of [topic], any communities that can be used for creative writing, etc… This community is a step further than most in that its subject matter is actively antagonistic in addition to being a potential space for creative writing. It’s doomed to fail without bizarrely dedicated mods or a queue of posts pending approval.
