vanilla android 15 (auto-updated by sony/google)
has to do with Pixel not having an SD card slot, so Google stopped developing those part of the code
that or they want to promote their cloud offering …
isn’t encrypting an SD card a very basic feature though?
I don’t get it …
so far only option i found (but did not yet try) is for a rooted phone:
