Such an insidious way of keeping workers complicit in our capitalist hellscape.

Doesn’t matter the brand, cars traditionally don’t appreciate in value. Wisdom always was that it starts to lose value as soon as you drive it off the lot, because of the wear it takes through regular use. Then the pandemic hit, and a shortage of new cars, which drove up the used car (AND new car) market. It’s all madness IMO, but people with the power to do so (corpos and private individuals alike) are trying to hang on to that bubble for dear life.
Maybe I’m just tired, but I’m struggling to think of other uses in the kitchen beyond just a warm beverage? Maybe for instant noodles or warming a bottle?
I have that one! Got an electric encore baratza for daily use because husband isn’t as into the ‘ritual’ as I am, but I enjoyed using it quite a bit. I keep it in the cabinet now for any potential power outages; I will then bust it out with my signature look of superiority.
You’d think, but unfortunately it do be like that for those of us with female phenotypes.
Nah, there are a lot of retail songs waaayyyy more annoying than that one that would just take its place. At least that one has some talent involved lmao.
Why are you feeling the need to have your protein shakes in secrecy?
Just like internalized misogyny is very much a thing in women, internalized racism is a thing, too. It’s sort of like a poor person aligning themselves with the rich against their own interests, if that’s easier for you to visualize. All that to say, I agree with the other commenter— that cop is blue.
Just came across this guide, thank you for your consistent work on it :)
A good thought, if you are planning to buy one from a breeder! Don’t do that (unless you are a farmer who needs a very specific breed of working dog). By adopting instead, you can ethically have a companion, imo. The animal life already exists, so by giving it a good home, you’re engaging in harm reduction. Don’t forget to slay and neuter those pets!
Hey, at least they were able to protect abortion access via direct ballot voting.
How exactly did Dualit shit the bed? Aren’t they still repairable and made in the UK? Sorry, I’ve been doing a lot of toaster research and have one in my cart literally right now, so it would be awesome to know if I missed something before paying $350 lol
Not everything Le Creuset. They seem to be very similar to other kitchen brands (kitchenaid, Cuisinart, etc) in that they make a few excellent products, but the rest of their line is overpriced stuff that isn’t as good as other brands you could buy. Their Dutch ovens are good, for example, but not their French press so much.
Honestly, that’s pretty close to my reason. It’s more like “I love hot tea, and celebrities are a guilt-free source of it,” though.
It’s kind of a mutually beneficial relationship, in a way. Many celebrities (not all, the ones that don’t aren’t ones I enjoy hearing about because it feels to much like invading someone’s privacy) thrive on having their names constantly in the tables, and I get enjoyment from the schadenfreude. Kinda like pro wrestling, maybe?
Same for me, stopped doing it in high school ~2011. Felt weird and culty to me, so I sat for it. My critical examination only continued from there, and I grew up in a very conservative/nationalistic household.
So everyone should try not to worry about conservatives having all of the kids, lmao. Conservatives birth future leftists too ✌️
Same, I don’t think this is a Pennsylvania-ism
They should set up debate podiums at all these places he’s following her and have her stand there, ready to debate. Then we can watch him turn as chicken shit as Trump and refuse.
I’ll bring the pizza and some two liters! Who wants what?
Is there a master list of apps that do this, I wonder?
For me, podcasts specifically about going to sleep to them trigger my contrariness too much to be actually relaxing. It’s gotta be on a normal topic that is just the right balance of interesting, but not exiting/engaging.
History typically scratches that itch for me. Dan Carlin’s hardcore history and the history of the English being the two goats that coke immediately to mind. Camp Monsters is also a great one; the rare fiction podcast that I can actually stand, much less relaxes me enough to sleep.
