There’s no more funny malware.
That depends who gets infected.
You or me infected by malware? No thanks!
Egon Mark infected by malware? Absolute hilarity!

Politicians need mandatory retirements. We need someone under the age of 65.
Ah yes, ageism.
There’s nobody over 65 who is a good political leader. Nobody under 65 is a bad political leader. Everyone immediately turns into a useless chump on their 65th birthday. They should all be puréed into a drink to sustain the rest of us.
It was a revelation at some point in my young life when I realized that CEOs (and any other executive position) are not the highly trained and capable leaders with grand business acumen that I was led to believe they are. Literally anyone can be a CEO for a few dollars and their name on a business registration with the local government, no training or capability is required.
Horrifying in retrospect to realize how many people lionize executives simply for adopting a title.
Having to copy a line from a document titled “The Principles of Communism” just to sign up should’ve tipped you off that something was a bit weird.
Uh what? How is it weird to have a mild anti-bot task in a registration process? That’s pretty normal.
If you’re objecting to the content in the text, well that’s just silly. A communist instance referencing communist writings is not “weird”, that’d be entirely within the realm of reasonable expectation.
If you feel so threatened by the mere presence of communism in your bubble, maybe don’t try to join an instance by and for them? How dare the dastardly communists be so happy and welcoming to everyone!
I haven’t used it much myself, it could be too early in it’s development to be useful, just thought I’d mention it though!
It looks like tabs are supported, but they call them an OptionContainer.
It seems like one sacrifices a lot of customizability for simplicity of code with this toolkit, but that might be fine for some use-cases.
I’ve historically used PySide (the free-license version of Qt) but for simple stuff like you’re looking for, you might get some mileage out of the Toga GUI toolkit. It’s relatively new, but promising.
I’ve actually been pretty impressed with the whole suite of BeeWare stuff in my informal testing so far; it’s a nice little bundle of tools. (Specifically I’m interested most in their distribution approach; building Python apps for distribution is a giant fucking pain, but this group seems to have improved the experience significantly.)
I use the same one I used in Chrome before switching, it works in Firefox too: Imagus
What I’ve done in the past is to copy the URL of the unavailable video (if it’s still accessible via the playlist entry, sometimes it isn’t which is annoying) and feed it into the Wayback Machine in the hopes that it got archived at some point. The video stream isn’t usually available that way, but at least the page title sometimes is, and then I can search for other versions of it.
Just pointing out how ironic it is that your response to someone informing you that you are being manipulated by police propaganda is to… go find stats sourced from the police to argue that you feel justified agreeing with the police propaganda.
🤔
KDE Connect should fit the bill; despite the name, you don’t need to be using KDE (or Linux even) since there are clients for every major OS, even mobile.
Among many other cool features, it lets you easily and simply just send a file from one device directly to another on your local network. I use it all the time to send photos from my phone to my desktop without plugging anything in, for example.
Yeah sorry, that’s a commonly used abbreviation for venture capital, e.g. the investors who own stock/capital in the company that makes the software. I shouldn’t assume everyone knows what that means.
I see what you mean, I could have phrased it differently. What I meant is that the interface is no longer designed to serve the user (even though the user is using it). The purpose of the interface of a lot of things has shifted from being user focused to exist entirely to serve the interests of the VC (venture capital, e.g., investors) behind the product. It is literally an interface for the investors to generate more money, not for the user to accomplish their tasks better.
We ought to stop calling it UI when it’s not meant to benefit the user anymore. A lot of changes are probably more accurately called VCI because they are dark patterns meant to benefit the VC instead of the User.
AFAIK, those codes don’t need to be kept private, but I think they only do that verification once, so you can probably just delete the file at this point. (After all, you can also use a TXT record to store the verification code for a domain with Google, and those are definitely not private; anyone can dig
your domain’s TXT records.)
I’ve read that it’s relatively easy and cheap to grow them yourself from spores you can order online, but I haven’t looked into it yet. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some info.
Not who you asked, but I have similar experiences with recurring depression throughout my entire life so far, and I get a big boost in capacity to avoid deep depression for months/years just by using a small amount of psychedelic mushrooms every now and then. Not even enough to lose my grip on reality or anything wild like that, just enough to chill and be contemplative for an evening. Literally sustains me for months/years from one session.
I’m looking forward to the scientific community doing more studies on the effects of mushrooms, I truly think they are a potentially massive benefit for some neurotypes.
they only get to use a couple servings out of their 5 gallon non-dairy milk jug
Don’t buy so much at one time then? Doesn’t seem that difficult a problem to solve, I do it every time my dairy-averse partner stays over for the weekend. Buy an amount that is reasonable for expected usage needs, it’s easy. I’m not out here buying a 5 gallon bucket and then whining when my guests haven’t drank all of it.
Not in the US.
I’d be careful of making sweeping statements about 3.7m square miles of land from your doorstep in LA.
I’m in the US too, and here in Atlanta I use Organic Maps frequently to find specific street addresses. It works quite well. I would agree with the other responses here suggesting that maybe you could contribute some data to OSM for the areas you encounter that are missing street numbers. You’ll be helping yourself and others!
Anybody who buys one of those vehicles is someone who sucks also. Fuck em all.
