I think they added a cloudflare captcha. Saw a recommendation for flaresolver but it sounds like that uses a fair amount of memory so I haven’t tried it personally

“While you have repeatedly claimed that the ACP is necessary for connecting participating households to the Internet, it appears the vast majority of tax dollars have gone to households that already had broadband prior to the subsidy,” the Republicans’ December 2023 letter to Rosenworcel said.
That may be partly explained by the fact that many ACP recipients were getting a different discount under a predecessor program that ended once the ACP was implemented. The $30 monthly ACP benefit replaced the previous $50 monthly subsidy from the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program that started enrolling users in May 2021.
Summary (from the article):
Curious why people voted Altman over SBF?
Have you tried the remake of 2? It was more difficult for me than the newer games (resources are tighter), but very well done overall. Definitely worth a play if you’re not burnt out after 4.
Being for sports, I’m guessing a lot of the communities keep to their own teams and sports, but I’ve never seen any trolling or toxicity there (more activity in general would be very welcome actually). I’d recommend sharing some examples and why a complete cutoff is necessary rather than blocking a few users.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it still carries that over! My Home feed (not subscriptions) has plenty of videos from channels I’m not subscribed to
🟥Red - Math
🟦Blue - Reading
🟨Yellow - Writing
🟩Green - Science
I’m guessing not, but in the offchance you’re using one of the newer Chromecast with Google TV there is a Jellyfin app you can install
…I may have some anecdotal evidence to support this
Nothing to add to this discussion except that savannahxyz is a treasure
Someone suggested it further down but fanaticus.social has most of the largest teams and general sports communities. The head mod seems pretty chill too so if there’s anything specific you’re looking for and not seeing it’s worth asking them
Twitter was harder to leave for me than Reddit because you’re following specific users rather than community topics (I follow a bot on mastodon that recreates tweets, but even that is having some minor issues with the recent changes). I honestly hope that Threads gets a lot of those users and that it decides to federate down the road, it would be nice to follow some more mainstream users while keeping my home in Mastodon
That was me, I think a total of two people I follow on Twitter moved to mastodon (out of ~150). For the rest, I’ve really been appreciating the bird.makeup server - it’s an account mirror for anyone on Twitter, which is fine for me since I mostly lurk. So I just rebuilt my following list on mastodon with that, works well!
Thanks for the writeup! No plans of my own to host a server at the moment, but there’s some good takeaways here.
also saw lemmy.ninja has a boomer shooters community so ofc had to subscribe
Space is so cool! So if I’m understanding correctly, there’s dead stars spinning around and shooting radio waves on an incredibly predicable basis, allowing scientists to record the effects gravity waves and how they’re messing with the timing of those waves because all of space is being pulled around?
I literally learned about gravitational waves yesterday (from something completely unrelated) and now this gets revealed today? Crazy
I don’t think you’ll find a lot of Microsoft love around these parts either lol
