That’s not the point. If Jeff Bezos wanted to spend 1 billion dollars today he could. Like maybe he couldn’t walk out of the bank with 1 billion dollars in cash, but all he would need to do was sign a piece of paper and that 1 billion is on its way to a new owner. That 1 billion on its own is more than enough for you and your family to live extravagantly for your entire lives, and you still wouldn’t touch half of it. After spending that 1 billion dollars, he’s got 184 more. It may not be cash, but it’s value that can be traded, spent, or used as collateral.
The form that this wealth takes is irrelevant. What matters is that if it were redistributed, it could change thousands or even millions of lives, and instead it serves only one person.
I’m not sure of the answer, but I feel like other commenters are just guessing.
My reason for doubting the dongle is that Bluetooth is designed to be ultra-low-power. We’re talking in the low milliwatts range.
I don’t know how much power a 2.4gHz dongle uses, but I would be surprised if it was less than Bluetooth. However, in terms of laptop battery life, it’s probably not significant enough to really matter. It’s not like either one will cut your batteey life down a noticeable amount.
If you read the article, you’d know it wasn’t desperation. It was an institution she admired and specifically wanted to work there. It’s even sadder than being desperate. She was already indoctrinated into the cult that hates her for who she is.
Yeah, for sure. Raytracing is very computationally intensive. It doesn’t make sense to do full-scene raytracing unless you have hardware that’s specifically designed for it. It works for something like quake since none of the scenes are particularly complex, but obviously you don’t hit anything close to the same framerates as you would with raster rendering.
I’ve been playing Cyberpunk on an RX 7900XT at basically maxed out graphics, with only some of the raytracing reduced to get it to a consistent 60 fps. The game looks stupid good. But the raytracing is only for shadows and reflections and it has such a massive impact on performance, though I know my GPU is not as effective at raytracing as Nvidia would be.
Like the other reply mentions, Control also looks great with raytracing on, but the scale is not the same as Cyberpunk, so the framerates don’t suffer as much.
That’s true, but if the car is cheap plastic, then it might be fine.
Until it leaks out of their pocket inside the warm car and drips onto the seat rails, or something similar.
A gallium coin
This could be quite harmful though. Gallium reacts with metals like aluminum and steel in strange and destructive ways.
In your library, each title has a settings button below it. Open that, then go to the Advanced tab. The Game Arguments textbox is what you’re looking for.
I assume a company like CNN has a law firm on retainer who is being paid whether or not they’re needed.
127 hours, or at least that’s what the movie led me to believe.
He was also incredibly lucky to get rained on in the desert.
Then you hope she’s there to rescue you.
That makes sense and sounds better.
They worded it as “support for blocking third-party cookies” which sounds like reframing the system that was already in place as something new, rather than something actually new.
Wasn’t blocking of third-party cookies already an option for quite some time now? What’s different with this version that it’s mentioned as a new feature?
California is at least taking a step forward in legislating that “sellers” can’t call it a purchase if you’re only getting a revocable license. Shops wouldn’t be allowed to use the word “buy” or “purchase” unless you get to own the product.
A knowledgeable user will be aware of these shortcomings of so-called “ownership” of digital goods, but the average person doesn’t read license agreements and does not understand that their purchase can be revoked at any time by the seller.
The average person makes a purchase and expects to own the item in question.
“It’s not comparable to the Holocaust. Germany killed 6 million…”
There are fewer than 6 million people in all of Palestine. If that’s their cutoff, they can eradicate everyone and “it still wouldn’t be as bad.” That’s probably their thought process.
Their goal was to make it as difficult as possible. Sure eminent domain was a possibility, but they expected it and I imagine planned to fight it.
Not only that, they’re all berries.
Sadly, in Canada, the ISPs are the media owners. The Big Three (Bell, Rogers, and Telus) and own basically all of the media and all the telecom infrastructure in most of Canada, and they share Quebec with Quebecor media.
