A world like ours is not going to get better as the climate deteriorates, and we cannot reign in the rich from continuing to kill the envrioment for profit. So long as carbon credits exist large polluters will continue to pollute and simply buy their way back into compliance. Based on the lack of progress on this exesistential issue for the survival of the whole species, at the very least its going to get a lot worse before it ever gets better, if theres still an environment that can support life left.

Use the time you have now to keep an eye out for a job listing that looks like a Cinderella slipper, and if you start seeing that red line coming up before that happens, then start to seriously consider whatever offers you can find that seem workable to you.

In my area when the local fash org dropped stacks of hateful rhetoric flyers specificly on just the doorstep of a trans person they doxed, the police were not the ones who sent somone to walk the perimiter day and night for a week. How do you think revolution works? You cannot simply violently take to the streets whenever you feel like it. You need to build up critical amounts of support or you’ll just be considered terrorists at best. A poll a while ago showed more Americans want a party to the right of repiblicans than ones who want one to the left of democrats. Detroit in the 70s had more GDP than NYC and took that money right to congress. To this day giant automotive lobbies are the reason for not only legislation in the US but also city planning (or lack thereof) and the removal of public transport. To think getting a railroad is anywhere near as easy as a road is disregarding the influence of millions of dollars from people who would lose money if that rail was built.
