It says somewhere in the review, the main story takes about 10 hours, but there’s lots of replayability!

Regarding text chat, it’d be cool to be able to send a text message I guess. Like invite someone to a game! But all of the Online seems weird. In some games you need a PhD to figure out how to set up a game with a friend!

Star Fox is so good on Switch 2!

No new Star Fox amiibo yet, but you can unlock customizations for your online badge with the Smash Bros Fox, Falco and Wolf amiibo.

Loved the game, finally understanding why people care so much about the series. Hoping for a new entry in the series now!

I finished the main story in Denshattack! and replayed a few more tracks to get better achievements. It’s a really fun original game!

During the week I played Mario Kart online with two different friends. One of them also has a Switch 2, so we played Mario Kart World and we tried out Game Chat for the first time. It’s kind of convenient, you can talk through bluetooth headphones with your Switch 2 and don’t need to have your phone around. I guess other consoles and PC have had this forever, but still convenient. Will be fun in different games if we use a camera (definitely for Star Fox with the AR features!). I also played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I really like that game, been playing it since the Wii U and I still think I prefer it over World… No idea what I’ll be playing during the weekend!

I agree. There are so many amazing fan games that could potentially succeed using original IP. These projects probably can’t get any funding, since they’re using existing IP. The moment you make money off of it, that’s when trouble begins. I’ve paid for Azure Striker Gunvolt, Gravity Circuit, Berserk Boy, 20XX and 30XX. I would definitely pay for another well done game inspired by Mega Man 😁

I played a few more runs of Star Fox looking to get more medals. The last one was a run on the hard path and got medals on every stage but Venom. I’ll probably keep playing this on and off for some time. I’ll also continue to play Denshattack! for reviewing.

There are different objectives in some stages, some of them you’ll realize are for branching. You might already know this but just in Corneria, there are two routes. If you go through all the archways on the water when Falco says something like “Those make a good obstacle course”, he’ll guide you through the waterfall on the right. Otherwise you keep going straight.

Last week I said I missed couch multiplayer of Mario Kart. Well, I had the chance to play Mario Kart World with 2 other people that weekend. It’s so much fun! It’s a whole different experience and I wish I could do it more often. We also played some Marvel: Cosmic Invasion, something less competitive to make up for all the shells and other items in Mario Kart.

I keep playing Star Fox, already done all the routes I think. I’ve definitely been to all the stages. I also played some more challenges and battle. I think I might try to do all the challenges and get all the badges. @slimerancher@lemmy.world do a barrel roll! I use the somersault and U-turns a lot in battles with Star Wolf. Like James McCloud once said “Never give up, trust your instincts”.

I started River City Saga: Journey to the West. I played the first two River City Saga: Three Kingdoms (Next is still on my backlog to finish) and this one goes rogue-like. It doesn’t lean as much on the roguelike part, at least I found it less annoying than other games in the genre. It’s still silly beat 'em up fun.

Finally I’m playing Denshattack! for a review, still under embargo so will just say try the demo for Nintendo Switch 2!

It could be a game that was initially designed for Switch 1, like Mario Kart World or Donkey Kong Bananza. And then they made it Switch 2 exclusive but didn’t really upgrade the graphics.

It’s not for me, but I see how it can appeal to Splatoon fans as a one player adventure.

I was playing Star Fox last night and came to the conclusion this game is a 10/10 for me. I love Star Fox 64, and this is that plus incredible graphics, music and cool cut-scenes. I keep restarting the campaign, done some challenges and played a bit online. It’s all super fun!

I really hope it does well and it kick-starts a saga on the Switch 2. They can take from all previous entries and build a cool new thing for the modern era.

Star Fox Assault is really underrated. The third-person shooter parts weren’t great control-wise at the time, I guess they were still figuring it out. But I’d love an updated take on that same format. You can get on/off the Arwing in stages, they expanded the story, it was an amazing game. Hopefully it’ll be added to Nintendo Online soon so more people get to enjoy it. Star Fox Adventures is more of a Zelda-ish game, there’s very little Arwing shooting. It was being developed by Rare as an adventure game for the Nintendo 64 called “Dinosaur Planet”. It’s pretty good too.

I’ve done three or four runs now, got the proper ending and now trying to get to all the planets. I’m only missing Titania. I’ve played Star Fox 64 so much, that I find it an ok difficulty in normal.

If you get to Andross through the hard route, you get a different ending. I don’t remember what the exact rules are, but I think you need to arrive to Venom from the leftmost side and beat Star Wolf before facing Andross. That’s all I can say without spoilers.

Star Fox!! I’ve already finished two runs, I want to go through all the planets. I wanted to get the proper ending on my first run, but I messed it up in one of the later missions. Then I’ll check out the online and battle modes. Might even try my webcam to have fun with it 😁

I haven’t tried mouse mode at all on Switch 2 yet, I think this is the time!

I’ve had Super Hydorah on my backlog for too long… I am glad I wasn’t the only one finding it hard 😁
