Side question: Should’t it also be illegal for Hallie Biden to dispose of an illegal firearm by putting it in a trash can outside a grocery store for a random person to find? That seems like a very irresponsible way to handle a firearm and evidence.

Cultural smells are interesting. In Japan, they find the strong scents of perfume, cologne, and even shampoo that westerners wear to be intolerable and people at restaurants will discreetly ask to change tables to move away from those wearing it. They are more sensitive to fragrances there while Americans have fragrance in almost everything.
Of course, the most respectful thing to do when traveling is to just take a shower and wear a neutral deodorant so that you’re not giving off any unique smells.
This situation sure sounds like it blew up into a racist power trip though.
Thanks I’m going to give this a try.
Yeah I think they misread that part. Cannabis was moved to schedule 3 which, for example, contains ketamine.
No problem! When I was picking out which search engines or “plugins” to install, I visited most of the sites on the list and chose the ones I had heard of plus some other ones that looked like they were for English content. Some of the sites were clearly for other languages or for niches like anime, so just pick out whichever ones are relevant to your interests and then you’ll be able to search all of their databases instantly without dealing with their terrible websites and just get the magnet link.
Have you tried using the search engine built into qBittorent? For example, here is what it looks like when searching for Paw Patrol S01:

It is ironic that Chinese-made opioids are a problem in other countries. China tried to ban opium multiple times, but Britain fought multiple wars with them over their right to sell Opium in China, which was Britain’s single most profitable trade at the time.
The British killed civilians and took over Hong Kong so they could control the most important harbor and increase opium imports. This created massive drug trade and eventually domestic opium production.
The difference is the profits used to return to the US, now they stay overseas.
So Biden is trying to block the import of BYD cars, and now Tesla isn’t making an affordable car, where are we supposed to get affordable electric cars from now?
Harold Hamm, not Howard. We did curls next to each other at the company gym once lol.
Here is the take away:
The only brand that did not show any markers of PFAS was Ziploc. Public health advocates say the best way consumers can protect themselves is to use glass containers instead of plastic.

Thank you for creating and maintaining this space for us, I’m grateful for you and all of the other people working to keep things running and improving on lemmy. It is becoming harder and harder to find spaces for discussions that aren’t corporate owned.
I think that this article is saying that they don’t dispute the other claims made in the NYT article, only the one which they opened with, the lady in the black dress. I’m not claiming the NYT article is correct or not, just pointing out what I think the author’s intent was.

Thanks, this is a nice presentation of the facts with good diagrams.

Yeah, Texas was the only place that I’ve actually witnessed casual open carry on a regular basis but to their credit I never saw any crime with a gun. However, I know people all over the country who conceal carry and you’d never know it.
I realize this is anecdotal but I witnessed the 2022 Las Vegas mass stabbing outside my hotel that killed 2 and injured 6 people. No one even knew what was happening because it was such a quick and silent attack.
My point is not that guns and knives are comparable, but that it’s silly to feel afraid in the US simply because of guns, generally I’m more scared because of the mental health and wealth inequality crisis causing an increase in apparently crazy people wandering the streets.
Yeah and it seems obvious that they shouldn’t be driving vehicles where people are laying. This is the third person I’ve heard of being run over by police on a beach this summer.
