Out of 10 pro abortion state measures 7 passed (one still undecided i think), and only 1 anti abortion measure passed.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “voting is done” but I think our parliamentary system is somewhat more resistant to systemic fuckery than the US system.
I don’t mean we are invincible, but 1 conservative term is not going to end democracy in Canada.
that’d be a huge pull, but if it were to happen we’d probably end up with a very exciting 5-way split which would be quite exciting (and probably extremely unstable). if ABC voters can heavily coordinate AND PP says a bunch of quiet stuff out loud then it could happen.
A certainty.
Liberals have been in power for a decade at this point (5th-6th longest term in history depending on when exactly the election happens), and have picked up a ton of baggage, from corruption scandals (some more manufactured than others) , oil pipeline flubs that left everyone mad, blackface scandal, political interference, broken promises of electoral reform, even a divorce. They currently hang on to an extremely weak minority with the NDP. The only reason there hasn’t already been an election is that the NDP is too broke to put up a real fight.
Anyone right of centre will literally foam at the mouth at the mention of Trudeau, anyone left of centre is disappointed and disinterested. The NDP is likely to pick up seats, but they have never held power and the current leader is seen as pretty weak, they don’t stand a good chance of gaining power.
the conservative party is polling with a 20point lead right now, look at this map. Furthermore they have been taking a hard right turn over the last few years to avoid losing out to a far-right party that has emerged, the new leader poilievre is a populist and the furthest right I have ever seen a viable Canadian candidate. He’s also french speaking, which has traditionally been a strength of the liberals and weakness of the CPC. He is actively campaigning on reducing trans folks (and especially trans children) access to healthcare, ending the carbon tax, reducing immigration and has been dog whistling hard about restricting abortion.
The question is not If he takes power, but rather how quickly we can rebuild left wing power and how much can we mitigate the damage. Personally I hope Greens pick up a few seats, liberals get their shit together within a year and no-confidence Mr.PP. He mostly won’t be winning because he’s popular but rather his opponents are politically radioactive.
It has a real ending, Season 3 ends in away that would make if difficult (but not impossible) to continue the show.
I really enjoyed “Travellers” a 3 season showcase/Netflix time travel show where time travellers possess the bodies of people right before they are going to die and try to stop the apocalypse.
I have an unusually wide neck. Shirts, especially dress shirts won’t fit both my neck and my arm length without tailoring. NGL not having to wear dress clothes was a a part of why I choose to do a computer science major and not a regular math major.
For my Wife the answer was medication because she has ADHD.
I hesitate to share my own strategy it was very effective for me, but I don’t know if it’s for everyone. What I found worked well for me was to integrate video games into my study routine. I would play CSGO, when you die in CSGO you are dead until the end of the round, and queue times are ~5-10min. Anytime I wasn’t directly paying in the game I would study, and I would play very aggressively so I would be more likely to die early. After a game I would take a 20min study break then reenter the queue and study until the game started. It’s not the most time efficient, but it didn’t feel like work for me like that so I could do it all night. great for easy but long tasks.
Sometimes I would also play single player games on a slow harddrive and play during the loading but that is probably not as effective as it once was.
I didn’t see any until I made my front yard a designated butterfly spot ( making i don’t have to follow by laws about lawn maintenance) now I see tons.
Our whole universe was in a hot, dense state Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started, wait The earth began to cool, the autotrophs began to drool Neanderthals developed tools We built a wall (we built the pyramids)
Make a plaster mould of the exact shape of the inside of the handle so it’s really annoying to take out
Does it?
user A uses their full bandwidth from 2am-4am when the network is empty then watches a 720p video at 5pm (or whenever the networks peak is).
User B watches an 8k video at 5pm and nothing at any other time.
UserB clearly contributes to congestion on the network more than user A despite user A using more data. Furthermore throttling user A does less to resolve the congestion than throttling user B.
IMO If the network needs to throttle then the people the most data at that instant in time need to be throttled and the network needs to start upgrading its infrastructure or amending its marketing materials.
Really the current internet model is a little weird, it should be pay to use with on and off peak hours the same as other utilities, and throttling should be seen as a major failure that needs immediate attention.
I quite like influencer I think it’s good that they are called what they are being paid to do and not trying to hide. It’s surprising honestly from a very dishonest industry.
It’s pretty hard to be open and transparent when 2 men with guns and black suits are sitting at your kitchen table.
We don’t know if that happened, but given the speed this happened and the us being the us…
If it breaks that they had a long runway of knowing this had to happen, then sure bring out the pitchforks, but imo we should default to this happening under heavy pressure to act immediately.
I checked their site, you can’t buy parking using just the website, even a monthly one. But you sure can pay your parking tickets! (although even that requires a credit card it seems)
This article is very repetitive, but they never mention what the activists allegedly tried to do. Without that information or any charges laid it’s pretty much useless information.
Spotify is trying this with their audiobook subscription service.
I keep a bouquet of dry pasta on my desk that I absentmindedly munch on while I work.
Sometimes I’ll eat a whole head of cabbage over a day peeling it leaf by leaf.
Where I live it’s illegal to have them expire. They can:
I don’t mind getting a steam gift card or an lcbo (liquor store) card, I know what liquor and games I like more than the people gifting. An Amazon gift card is much more annoying because it’s an everything store, it’s money that has to be used unethically. A costco giftcard is a nice hack to allow you to shop at the store without a membership, I used them like that until I reached a point where the membership paid for itself. I think they have a place, I also think they are often abused and should be regulated more than they currently are where I live. If they have an expiry they are a scam.
Where I live you can either use those cornstarch types or paper bags (very similar to yard waste bags). I like the paper bag for the big bin that goes in the roadside, but cornstarch ones for the one in the kitchen that only sticks around a day or two. Perhaps raise the idea with your local council.
I prefer curbside system because it is able to accept many things that my at home compost can’t handle like dog shit, meats and those biodegradable “plastics” that need industrial facilities. Also apartments.
