Is there anywhere harder to get a gun? Even pellet guns are illegal in NYC. You can be legal in one state, passing through to another state where you’re legal, and NY can take your ass to jail for a gun in the trunk.

I’d question what’s “unsafe”, but this was bipartisan and unanimous. Hopefully the governor gets overruled by the legislature.

He’s saying the call to close a beach should be local, not at the state level. Of course the locals will never close a beach. Anyone seen Jaws?

OTOH, I’m not aware of anywhere here in NW Florida that suffers pollution. Red tide maybe should call for a shutdown, and I believe it occasionally does.

And I have to agree. Anyone choking our economic lifeline isn’t getting back in office to do it again. Seems an easy call when you’re not fucking with 10’s of thousands of livelihoods.

No idea what the answer is, but a higher authority (the state) should make the call.

One of those saved my ass on a solo, overnight kayaking trip. I mostly brought beer, ice and food in my tow-behind cooler because I had a Life Straw.

Cut the top off a can and sucked down 7 refills of creek water. Tasted exactly like warm, flat, tap water.

Sounds like an agency regulating a thing they don’t have authority over. This Court will overrule them in a heartbeat.

And so is every Coke bottle with 5 times the plastic. And so is every store-bought coffee. Yet… silence. 🦗🦗🦗

What about bottles? Far more energy requires to melt and pour glass. No one says a word about single use.

Never found a K-cup on the beach or trail, but I pack plastic bags to haul trash and sometimes load 2 or 3.

Yes, it’s a waste, but the whole thing was blown way the hell out of proportion.

I hike, kayak, canoe, whatever, all over the place. Every plastic bottle I pick up contains, what, 5 times the plastic? I pick up a LOT. And nobody thinks twice or raises a fuss.

We use a Keurig, but either with plastic refill cups or paper bags my wife brings home from the hotel.

I’ve tried to say that employee wages aren’t anything close to what one sees on their paycheck. And been buried for it.

Unemployment insurance, worker’s comp insurance, taxes, benefits (even if minor), all adds up to roughly double one’s hourly rate.
