You have the crop factor backwards. It’ll increase the effective focal length. Multiply the crop factor by the focal length of the lens

Not normal for me
You can absolutely learn on it. Start to get a hood understanding of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. Practice composing scenes and learning how to edit
I thought the same thing but looked out of curiosity and was presently surprised. Glad it wasn’t a Rokchip of some kind or it wouldn’t be so powerful
Thanks for the info! This is really useful to know and definitely puts me off a little. I would hope installing another OS would preserve the device features. I started to look into “Manjaro Gaming Edition.” It all looks to be from a few years ago and based on XFCE. However on the device’s website it mentions a Plasma desktop so I wonder if they did a special version for this. One can hope it’ll be a better kept version of the OS from what you said.
I haven’t personally used it but Bazzite is a custom image based off of Fedora 39 with preinstalled gaming software and it’s atomic
Great rate. Glad I bought when I did.
Mountain Everest Max with Zeal Zilent V2s. I want to get rid of it if anyone wants to buy it off of me. Doesn’t work well with Linux
I just got the switches but haven’t installed them on my keyboard. My board is a 2pin so I’d have to cut off the supports but don’t want to do that because I don’t want to induce wobble. I’ve been wanting to switch boards for awhile so this is a good excuse to. In the mean time I held both switches in either hand and tried them side by side. The Boba’s are nicer! The Zilent’s were so much better than the MX Browns I thought it couldn’t get better but here we are. The Zilents dip just a tiny bit at the top before they rest on their tactile bump. The Boba’s simply rest on the bump at the top, no wobble, it’s amazing! The tactile bump feels very similar to one another. A solid bump. I wouldn’t say the Boba feels like it’s weak like some people say. Next it pressed the switches quickly and I could hear a slight ping coming from the Zilent but not the Boba. They are both incredibly quiet, I don’t really think one is noticeably quieter than the other. I have the Zilent V2 67g and the U4 RGB V2 65g (which I understand doesn’t use Boba plastic anymore). The weight feels nearly identical to each other as it should.

Would sit nicely next to Thunderbird and Firefox
Dang I just ordered the U4s. I’ll definitely check out these shrimp though! Maybe I’ll try them out in a few months. Thanks!
That’s great to hear. I couldn’t remember the term to try and search so thanks for that “force curve.” I’ll definitely be trying out these switches
With my Zilents when I rest my finger on a key it just baarreelllyy depresses until it sits on the bump and then once I press down basically all of the travel (99%) comes after the bump.
Would you say the U4s are like that?
Also, with how light yours are do they still have a discernible bump or does it seem to turn into a linear?
What weight do you have? Also, where do you feel the bump at?
I haven’t heard of them until now. I just read a review on them from ThereminGoat and they look incredibly promising! Thanks for the suggestion
I use it in some similarities to you such as owning my own OS and supoorting FOSS but as well as not having my OS spy on me. Since I got into the realm of Linux maybe two years ago I have found out about GoG and have been slowly rebuilding my library there and not playing Steam anymore. There are a few games I’ll miss such as Snow Runner but I’ll live. Ultimately I want to own what I have and not be spied upon by so many things now a days.
How is it’s compatibility with Word and Excel now a days? Is it as good as OnlyOffice? I use OnlyOffice because of it’s compatibility and it has worked flawlessly. I am totally down to try LibreOffice again.
I don’t know the answer to your question however if you can’t figure it out, I use a Guilikit King Kong Pro 2 which doesn’t require drivers and it works flawlessly on Mint (I assume any distro too)
I use OnlyOffice and enjoy it. I do notice some fancy features missing but as I’m not a power user it doesn’t bother me. I’ve opened OnlyOffice docx files in MS Office and vice versa many times with no issues ever. I’ve also installed MS fonts on my Linux distro and they work in OnlyOffice. I don’t notice it pushing online features like somebody else said
