But it can’t accommodate that speed, people get injured and killed. Hence why they roll out the 20 zones. The average UK main road is like 1/3 the width of a North American residential cul-de-sac remember.

UK highways departments have had essentially zero budget for 2+ decades now. There’s no funding to completely retrofit every single residential street to match the new signage. Most of them are already incredibly narrow and tight compared to your average North American street.
I’ll take a look, cheers. Got an Raspberry Pi lying about somewhere I could use
I signed up for this month’s ago and I’m still not in. Every time I log into the app to check my waitlist, I’m some random number in the 3000s, and not always lower than last time. Why is this do you know?
This will be controversial too but having the same community on each instance doesn’t work either. There are 3 major Android communities and none have very much content, and lots of reposts etc
Really wish there was more content. I’ve been trying to post stuff but I never get any comments either. Anything other than the few mainstream communities is just dead
Air conditioning isn’t generally used in the UK, and no way would it take 55kWh a day to bring one of our houses a few degrees down. Most UK households use less than 10kWh a day total.
I’m sure it could work, if car infrastructure, fuel etc, was charged at cost to motorist rather than the massive subsidies it currently gets. Then even for-profit buses would look incredibly cheap!
But yes, motorists are massively subsidised. Buses should be subsidised even more, given they’re a net good to the world and cars a net bad
this just isn’t the case. the SKIN is still on.
I think you must be getting confused, salmon is not sold in UK supermarkets with the scales on. Just the skin.
I find trains are often relatively affordable but you have to have a good understanding of the system. For example, an anytime return between Manchester to London on the direct train can be £300 which people are rightly outraged by.
But you can buy Split Tickets for part of the journey, and/or take different trains to cut the costs down. You can do Manchester to London return, even booking only the week before, for £50, if you go via Crewe and take the comfier and less crowded, but slightly slower, West Midlands Rail train.
You shouldn’t have to know the system so well to get cheap fares, but it’s not impossible to do
I mean most consumers don’t care about those 🤷♀️
Lawns in the UK are nothing like lawns in the US. I never water it or use weedkiller and it stays green all year. It has buttercups and clover growing among it. I only mow it infrequently when it gets very long.
