Welcome in the rabbit hole of selfhosted enthousiast.
Haha yes looks like it. I only have 1 server (to be bought) and a RPI, which should be sufficient. Proxmox seems overkill for that scenario; I’ll just run Docker. Thanks.

What is the advantage of running proxmox vs install eg Ubuntu, Docker, and manage it via ssh and Portainer?
Yes, unless you vpn to home of course.
Learning Spanish as well via Duolingo, but I feel like it’s slowing down and based on this post, looking at alternatives. Have you found one that works better?
But, retention means repetition, so you learn more, right? Not trying to defend Duolingo but I’ve been enjoying it for the last 3 years or so. Almost got 1000 day streak and my Spanish is getting better.
Coming from Duolingo I found it a bit overwhelming. I tried one collection, but as I already know Spanish a bit, it was too easy. Any tips?
It’s also a downside. Now we have bought a Leaf I never want to buy an ICE again. But here in NZ there aren’t many second hand options for a reasonable price. Luckily prices are dropping.
The first article is specifically about Tesla which is a reason I don’t recommend them. The second article is not specific to EVs, it talks about all modern cars. Build quality non existent? Have you tried an EV yourself? I drive a 2016 Leaf and it feels better built than ICEs from that time.
Those graveyards were for failed startups around ride sharing / rentals.
Via RD it won’t use torrents. It will download it directly from their servers. RD isn’t free though, couple of euros per month.
Why not use Stremio with Realdebrid, then you don’t need a vpn :)
I’ve got a QNAP. Relatively happy with it, as it’s easier to manage than DIY, but it’s hard to migrate to a different brand as the RAID implementation is proprietary, so can’t just plug the disks in a different brand. First NAS lasted about 7 years until it was too slow, new one is about 5 years and still going strong.
DIY gives you more flexibility, but also more maintenance.
I use NGx paperless to store our docs, it also has full text pdf search. https://github.com/paperless-ngx/paperless-ngx
What do you mean by jailbroken stuff?
We’ve recently got copilot at M365 and so far it’s been a mixed bag. Some handy things but also some completely wrong information.
I’ve got a CCWGTV and can’t be happier. Replaced the default launcher with Stremio, Streamtube and Kodi prominent at the top.
Thanks for the explanation!
Thanks, I have no idea what you’re talking about though as I’m on Windows :)
Not sure what site that is you’ve linked, but the official site seems to be this one: https://freetubeapp.io/
It works perfectly with Libredirect. Thank you!
I’ve tried installing a skin a couple of times, every time ended up crashing Kodi as the skin was not supported for that version. I just gave up with custom skins.
I’m using Kagi and can’t be happier.
