What kind of accident are you imagining where someone untrained encounters your loaded weapon?
Just a bridgeman doing his thing.

Always assume a weapon is loaded if you haven’t checked the chamber.
Always assume a weapon is loaded. Period. Even if you’ve checked the chamber. You can be mistaken on what you see, especially if you’re tired or not paying attention.
When I was in Iraq one of the guys in my unit had a negligent discharge. He swore he checked the chamber for a round. My guess is he halfway racked the slide and thought he saw the side of the chamber when he really saw dirty brass. Luckily he fired into the clearing barrel but you don’t want an ND ever.
Your eyes and brain can lie to you. Don’t trust them.
Nah, the current UI is fine. We don’t need fancy shit on a link aggregator. Reddit went to shit after “updating” the UI.
Your opinions of “good” or “best” aren’t the same for everyone.
Maybe this is before the Bene Tleilax emerges. That way she could still be a proto-face dancer and female. I’m just guessing though.
I thought it was a great episode. I really want to see what happened with Lila, I thought she was going to become a guild navigator the way that spice tank was set up.
The therapist: He’s just afraid to show his true feelings.
Him: It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing.
The bucket falling is what disturbed the gobbos who in turn woke Durin’s Bane. That or the bucket straight up woke the balrog. It’s not entirely clear but Pippin is for sure responsible.
Thats restitution money to the government. Not money to the victims. The article says a civil suit is currently underway.
Yeah but radio doesn’t like meat shields being in the way. The frequencies normally used in RFID only penetrate a few cm into people.
I guess we could always advocate for RFID tattoos if we really wanted to get this going.
We already implant subdermal RFID chips in animals and people. You just put the chip inside a non-biologically reactive substance and it’s fine.
The bigger problem is scanning distance. You’re limited to only a dozen meters or so if you’re not using an active RFID with battery. ~100 meters with a battery but then you have to change the battery every now and then.
Tanks have windshields. They’re just tiny and made of very thick glass.
In this picture the windshield is right below the main gun:
Don’t worry. Rand Al Thor will stop them.
I wish antivax idiots would just go visit a third world country. I know it won’t matter to some of them but maybe some would change their views when they see kids dying of diseases that have been eradicated in the US.
I would watch a whole new saga with Denethor as a balrog.
If you have the technology to build a multi kilometer long space habitat I’m fairly certain someone would think of adding shock and sound absorbing material between the hulls so that you wouldn’t hear or feel impacts unless they were catastrophic impacts.
You don’t have an Aaron’s or Rent-a-center in your town? I’m a millennial and half my formative years were spent on a rent-a-center couch and bed. Half my belongings in my first house were rent to own, now that i think of it. I spent a lot more because of interest and scams but i had zero financial literacy then and i needed furniture. Without a credit card your options were/are limited.
Learn a language is easy. Move to a foreign country and stop talking in your native tongue. Eventually* you’ll speak the language.
*teft is not responsible for abnormally large amounts of “eventually”
Also young JL from Tapestry:
I know that one letter is silent. So it’s pronounced gome.
If they’ve only ever unloaded a full magazine or shot with a magazine with a single shot in it, they wouldn’t know since the gun will be empty after they are done firing and drop the magazine.
Proper supervision and training is the way to prevent negligent discharges.
