As somebody who has viewed Hasan Piker’s stream from time to time for years…I feel that even though he says this, and will likely continue to say it for two and a half years, he will “pull the lever” for whoever the D candidate is on Nov 7. 2028. This assumes that the Dem party and mainstream media don’t just stand by and let the GOP suspend elections in 2028.

To be fair, the cynic in me says Sanders never would have become president. Even if the DNC had let primaries take their natural course and Sanders had come out of it with the most electoral votes, then the DNC would have just brokered their convention and given it to Biden or Bloomberg anyway. If they somehow didn’t do that and Bernie was the actual candidate from the D side, the mainstream media coverage of him would have all sounded like Fox News or Newsmax fluffing Trump. All his major media coverage would have been Marxist chicken-littling. If, even after all that, Bernie somehow won in November of 2020, he never would have made it to the inauguration. He (and his VP candidate) would have had a little accident, a la Jeffrey Epstein, Paul Wellstone, Vince Foster, Terrance Yeakey, etc.

Even if you believed in stupid ass bullshit like purity tests or “both sides bad” before 2020, there is no effing justification for not voting D in 2020 and 2024. Yep. This is exactly why. It makes logical sense if they only thing that matters is profit. Several places that I worked would allow the public to come in and request these “about to be tossed.” items to take for free. You had sign up, provide ID, and come right at closing time, though, to do it. The employees were not allowed to do this for the reason rumba gave.

I guess the laissez-faire attitude towards pedphilia makes sense in this light.

I guarantee you that a non-neglible percentage of these maroons knew exactly what Trump is and exactly what would happen to the migrant workers in their town, and happily voted for him anyway. A good chunk of them actually hate the browns (and trans, and students, etc.) that much.

The novel starts of with a prologue that begins just after that event which triggered Japan’s eventual descent into oblivion, February 8, 2026.

I could not stop thinking about how expensive it is for us to maintain these tiny towns, and how much better the outcomes would be and for how much less money, if instead of rebuilding their tiny town, we moved them all to citiesreeducation camps.

I guess I thought it would be longer before I saw openly vapid, grifitng, right-wing, cult of personality in the office of prime minister of Japan. SMH. I give it less than two years before reasonable Japanese wish their government hadn’t installed this clown as prime minister.

If Russia actually had the manpower and hardware to overwhelm Ukraine and achieve their objectives, they would ahave done so years before now. They are stalling. The west could end this whole conflict relatively quickly if they wanted to. Simply sever all diplomatic AND economic ties with Russia and with any country that doesn’t do exactly the same. China and India would fall in line almost instantly and Putin’s efforts would collapse like a house of cards.
