Through various stages of my life I have used torrents, streaming, Usenet, Napster, limewire, aol/IRC chat rooms, discord, and even google searches. You must adapt to whatever works.

As funny as it is to picture in your head I don’t think it’s appropriate to wear a costume and do a funny bit when you may be deciding if someone gets to keep their children or lose their house. The other person involved sounds like an uptight liar, but I i think maybe all of these people kinda suck.
Remember when they at least made transparently bullshit excuses about human shields and terror tunnels when they did their war crimes? I wonder when exactly they worked out they didn’t have to bother anymore.
I feel like “capitalists aren’t left wing” is a lesson people keep having to relearn.
An Obama-shaped shadow looming in their garden would do the same. Training these people that these actions have no consequences is far more dangerous than listening to them whine about the government, which they were going to do anyway.
They’ll mobilize the national guard for college campus protests but we have armed militias preventing domestic government aid and not a single boot on the ground or dissident hauled away. Pathetic.
You don’t really need to visualize yourself on the rim, either. Just turn left in any context and you will trace the path of an anticlockwise circle. It’s really more about establishing why there’s a link between left and anticlockwise. Picture and remember whatever works best for you, I’m just annoyed by the people stubbornly insisting the link between them doesn’t make perfect sense.
You have to have a convention about Up to usefully describe a rotational direction at all. I don’t see how that’s relevant. Left implies an Up.
i know you can make the wheel work the opposite way, jesus christ. the circle motion the path of the car makes when you turn left is the same as when you turn the wheel to the conventional left. imagine, instead you steered “left” by a joystick. the car would still draw the same circular path the same fucking way, because turning left makes an anticlockwise circle, every time, in every situation.
No im trying to illustrate the parallels between how you turn the wheel, how the car turns in response to that , and how they are all related. You turn left you will make the exact same rotational movement, with both the vehicle, and the steering wheel.
It’s as simple as, “What direction do you turn the wheel to make the car go left?” I just stacked on top “and also it makes the car itself do that same exact circular movement” so you don’t just dismiss this as some kind of arbitrary convention.
how’s your day goin, man?
At least until the next bend in the road where the sign indicating a left turn ahead is more than you can handle.
If I ask you to turn the car left and you give me this speech I would eject from the car.
If a steering wheel has you this perplexed then I beg you to never ever drive a vehicle.
Imagine it as if it were a track you were driving around, which way would you turn the wheel?
if you’re going to risk federal charges i think you should probably do it in service of something a little more substantial than a lukewarm voting drive. especially when everyone you convince to participate is ostensibly on “your side” and they will also be risking federal charges.
too many people praising this think clever wording and specific language is like iron-clad armor against a judge saying “no fuck you, your intent was clearly to break or circumvent the law. go to jail/pay this fine”. that only works for the rich.
You have ten years to do something you’ve known needed to be done for over twenty. My bet is in ten years they will be given another ten year “deadline”, if whatever mechanism Biden established to enforce this even exists at that point. Same dance they do with climate regs.
You can explain that to people but it still won’t convince them to spend any amount of time doing math in a grocery store unless they’re so desperate for cash that the problem is well beyond the scope of pricing schemes.
Great, now I can more accurately compare how all the brands are shrinking at roughly the same rate. The problem isn’t consumer education, it’s implicit market collusion. Coke shrinks and doesn’t lose profit so Pepsi shrinks so Coke shrinks so Pepsi shrinks, etc - a race to the bottom feedback loop.
Unit pricing is good, but I don’t really think it solves this particular issue. Every time I see unit price even listed it’s in tiny, near illegible font under the massive bold item price, and every time I’ve point d the out to people they don’t give a shit because they aren’t going to spend 5 minutes comparing the prices of soda bottles so they can squeeze out less than a dime’s worth of savings.
So people on the internet can get mad that you didn’t vote how they wanted instead of getting mad at you for not voting.
