Not that I know of.
You need to type it with an exclamation mark in front. Lemmy will then provide you a dropdown of it’s communities, and upon selection convert it into a markdown link:
!fediverse becomes
[!fediverse@lemmy.world](https://lemmy.world/c/fediverse)
which is shown as a link like this !fediverse@lemmy.world
Only downside is you won’t find stuff from domains without lemmy in them, e.g. feddit.de
Perhaps to expand on that: also have a fire blanket in your kitchen. They are dirt cheap, no maintenance and if something catches on fire during cooking you can throw them over and stop it before a chaotic situation develops.
