I fast forward half way and pray she still isn’t slobbering on some knob at that point and they’ve gotten down to businesses already.
I ain’t got no brain or no sane. I’m insane in the membrane.

If you had super powers you probably wouldn’t have to steal anything or commit crimes to be rich. You’d just make money the same way people like the Kardashians do or worst case sign up to some sporting team and absolutely trounce everybody else then sign endorsements.
Just visit the specific subreddits with content that your after using bookmarks while you also use Lemmy. There’s no sides to this stuff that you have to choose between.
Am pretty lazy.
There’s not a good alternative to Discord for it’s usecases. Sorry Matrix and XMPP, despite many attempts at clients to mimic Discord on these protocols they just never cut it.
You should be using the best tool for the job, even when it comes to operating systems and software. If your development workflow is this heavily dependent on Linux then I’m not surprised you find it Windows more painful compared to just running Linux itself.
For myself, mostly doing enterprise and backend development in C#, Python and a bit of Go, Windows gets out of my way and let’s me get to work far more efficiently than Linux ever does for this work.
Lost my virginity thanks to IRC.
That 5GB cloud storage is a bit stingy though on their standard plan.
A pen and paper, for work.
You know those people who seem useless and forgetful all the time? They don’t write anything down so they are lost when they try to do things and too embarrassed to ask for advice again because they forgot what you told them. You also end up repeating stuff to them over and over again when they just don’t do a task or mess it up.
Don’t be that person, write stuff down!
Browsing Lemmy on my phone.
It’s odd that you’re getting that. Are you sure you’re actually using a bidet and not your garden hose?
Not sure how long but pre-Digg.
I remember feeling a kind of resentment when the Digg exodus happened at the time but hey. Lemmy reminds me of that time once again.
Reddit just faked it all until it made it basically. The creators of it are even on the record talking about it.
Lemmy could do the same if it wanted.
Reddit’s video player has always been shit and it’s actually a fairly recent addition to the website. Same with actual image hosting too.
On Lemmy all the avatars are free.
Nobody better copy the sloth or I’ll be real mad.
They didn’t neglect it, it’s shittyness is exactly as they intended it.
Still using XMPP to this day and my current client is Gajim. Discord is still “better” overall than it. If XMPP could cleanly and neatly intergate voice chat (like Mumble) and support images and things smoothly then it would be great, but it does not. This is a big part of the reason “nobody” uses it beyond what happen with Google/Facebook.
“Hey reddit what is the best spare tire iron?”
— Redditor with 1 month old account who’s only posted about IPayShills tire irons.
“The only brand of spare tire iron you should consider is IPayShills tire iron, it changed my life! It makes coffee, calls AAA for you and everything. I would never leave home without it.”
— Redditor with 1 month old account who’s only posted about IPayShills tire irons.
It’s worse then you think. That “popular” screen is what’s popular to all of Reddit determined by their algorithm, not what’s popular in the subreddits you have subscribed to. There’s no way to avoid the firehose of whatever they want to feed you, you can only go to a specific subreddit in the app instead.
It’s basically unusable for me in this state.
Several local (but national chain brand) furniture stores.
So many reasons. One had better quality furniture on display than what they sold by a long way. Another tried to give me not one but two firm mattresses instead of medium and lie to me about them. Yet another got caught out blatantly lieing to my face about delivery times and procedures.
All of them had great customer service right until the point that they had our money and then completely treated us like garbage afterwards.
