Scalpers make a gamble that the price will go up. This time, they lost that gamble.

This ia exactly on point. I have never played Factorio but can recognize it from any screenshot from its style.
Even though it’s probably the best thing to do in terms of international relations, it feels very weird having Trudeau congratulate Trump.
“We look forward to working with president-elect Trump and his administration, including on issues such as trade, investment, and continental peace and security,” - Justin Trudeau
Polievre wants to defund the CBC, build more oil pipelines and continue the expansion of city suburbs. No way I’d vote for that guy. The only good thing I’ve seen him say is that there should be more competition in the telecommunications market, but it does not take much effort to point out a problem.
What you are tying to achieve is literally the goal of PostmarketOS. For supported devices, PMOS should continue working for a very ling time when compared to more hacky custom roms. I use a Oneplus 6 and have used both divestOS and PostmarketOS on it and it is well supported by both.
I think part of the push is just from Nvidia to try and get vendor lock-in, like they have with CUDA. Many games that use raytracing will only work on “RTX” cards which are only sold by Nvidia. Raytracing also has the benefit of increasing demand for upscaling, like DLSS, which further increases vendor lock-in.
Also, most devs are going to be using some sort of game engine where the hard parts of rasterization are already taken care of, like with Lumen in Unreal Engine 5.
Hell yeah, new Gnome version.
Still much less than a car. And I mean, they chose to remove the bikes lanes, so how else are you gonna transport your pool noodle for your daily swim?
Pool noodle thing? Like this?
LVRA is a great source of Linux VR info. Wivrn is easiest to setup using envision. Its biggest disadvantage is that it uses a translation layer for OpenVR games, though it works pretty well.
Have you tried using Wivrn instead of ALVR? I found it to work way better. Also, I don’t think the Bigscreen beyond is well supported yet on Linux.
What is really stupid about this is that Canada has some of the highest mobile internet rates in the world. And they expect everyone who needs to pay to have internet all the time.
I started using reddit just for the memes and would use some 3rd party frontend to get rid of the ads and nake the interface way cleaner. When the API pricing was announced, I serched for a better source of memes and somehow found lemmy. No ads, no bullshit, and there are some cool communities here that I actually want to participate in.
Electric vehicles are peddled as some sort of cure to climate change when they are only a bit better than gasoline cars since they still need the massive amount of infrastructure needed for cars. I stilk think that people buying an electric car when their gasoline car breaks is reasonable enough if other transport options are unavailible. But our focus should be on making those other options of transport both availible and reasonable rather than focusing on a specific drive train technology.
I always think about the direction that the top of the circle turns to apply left or right rotation, though I usually use muscle memory.
Any reason to use the apps you listed over just using discord in a browser?
Can we remove the “roaming” from that sentence? Our rates are too damn high!
Electric cars are better than gas, but the extensive car infrastructure needed to sustain cars remains the same. The real solution is having viable alternatives to driving to reduce the need for car use altogether.
You wanna know what’s also a burden? The damn WILDFIRES BURNING THE COUNTRY!
I know here in Canada if a drone is 250g or under, you don’t need a license. I’m pretty sure that maby of the camera-drone manufactuers make variants that are just under 250g to make them more accessible.
