Linux Mint@programming.dev•SOLVED: Is it possible to restore Alt+clicking as a text-selecting link nullifier?English
3·8 days agohttps://superuser.com/questions/566528/setting-super-l-as-movement-key-in-linux-mint-to-free-up-alt says “Menu >> Preferences >> System Settings >> Windows >> Behavior and is called Special key to move and resize windows”, might be outdated, but give that a try?

Meta@lemdro.id•Zuckerberg warns ‘success isn’t a given’ after laying off 10% of MetaEnglish
8·15 days agoIn April, Meta explained some of the calculus behind its shifting financials, noting that it was increasing 2026 capital expenditures to between $125 billion and $145 billion.
Personnel costs are a rounding error compared to this shit. If they spend $125B instead of $145B and spent the savings on the 8,000 they just fired, they’d each make $2.5 million.

11·18 days agoWell, duh. The annoyance is that it doesn’t go both ways. KDE apps are happy to use fat Gnome window bars but Gnome apps don’t produce matching titlebars for other systems. That said I haven’t used KDE or Gnome in a minute.

Ask Electronics@discuss.tchncs.de•Why does my oscilloscope display a PWM audio waveform like this?English
5·1 month ago1/(900Hz) = 0.00111 seconds = 1.11 ms for each full sine width. Your time base is 0.5ms and you can fit 5ms width on the screen. If only a 900Hz signal is present, you should see 5ms/1.11ms = 4.5 full sines on your display. However, the signal appears to be much more dense, so there’s definitely high frequency contributors. Zoom in on the time axis and see what’s going on, with single shots if needed as someone else suggested. Whatever the other contibutors are they are possibly riding on a 900Hz horse, so unfortunately setting it to trigger is tricky. I would move the trigger value up until it stops triggering, then gently lower it until it taps the max of the overall waveform. Then you will just be sampling the sine(90°) locations on your 900Hz. Oh also, just by eyeballing it looks like the waveform envelope has a period of 1.5ms, 1/(0.0015 seconds) = 667Hz. If my eyeballing is bad then it might really be 900. But as someone else said if this is a PWM’d signal what you’re seeing could be explained by not filtering out frequencies above the widths it is using.

91·1 month agoI have gotten a couple cheap, good items from Aliexpress, but htf do I work around:
- absolutely no respect for search terms. All search results are the equivalent of searching for each word in my search alone, mixing the results together, and randomly choosing one to overprioritize. Quotes and minuses ignored.
- I will click on an item and it will take me to a blank page saying no such item exists or it’s not available or something, I don’t quite remember. But after a couple successful purchases this started happening for every single item before I stopped using it because this was blocking me from buying stuff.
