It’s just like, at what point are your goals so similar that you might as well collaborate?
Collaboration is great but you wouldn’t tell a solo musician to just join a band because they make similar music. I look forward to checking out everyone’s take on their app ideas.
Yeah, I went through four different reddit apps before finding the one I loved (RIP boost). Jerboa is nice but it’d be great to have options
As a programmer myself, sometimes collaborate isn’t as easy as just “add features to it”. You might not like the choice of technologies and architecture of the other app or just have a different design taste that might prevent that. Besides, the original wonder might not like the changes you want to add abs reject it etc.
