Yeah, Lemmy and the fediverse in general have some awful instances / accounts (and a lot of the people writing the software are problematic as well) but I think that this is a bit different since you can block those instances / users or use an instance that doesn’t federate with awful instances. Not using email because there is a nazi email provider is different from using a platform that is cool with and promoting nazi content (even if that service also has cool content) in my opinion.

Anyway, I’m gonna look into Ghost as well, it seems really cool that they also do newsletters!
