I was watching Wednesday season 1 for the first time the other day. Without spoiling anything, the secret antagonist admits out loud to murdering several people and threatens to kill more while standing near Wednesday in a hallway at a police station. They aren’t talking loudly, or whispering, just kind of low enough so, ostensibly, only she can hear him. But when the camera pans back, you see that there is a cop sitting in the hall almost as close to them as Wednesday is standing. So there is no way the cop didnt hear every single word. And yet, no reaction at all.
It took me out of the show for a minute. I was like, “they could have even just… not had a cop be right there. They chose for the cop to be there, and yet they are apparently deaf.” Weird direction decison.
