It is an illegal move. Once you release the rock you can not touch it. They can’t prove he touched it again with official evidence because they rely on sensors on the handle that the rock is being released before the hog line and not touched again, instead of video evidence. But it looks like he touched the stone part of the rock, which is not detected by the sensor, so they can not officially say it happened or not.
yes I get it’s an illegal move but all sports have this… if a hockey player trips an oppossing player, refs issue a 2 min minor… why is this different? I understand the rock is removed as a penalty and the game goes on

The opposing team knew he does this so set up a camera to catch it. Hilarity ensued.
Ok but why is this not just monitored by the refs like any other infraction in any other sport?
