This wasn’t pre-planned; I did not think I was in the market for alarm music. I just heard a track when exploring more of an artist’s work that I’d heard from Geometry Dash (they’re the musician behind Stereo Madness [and Stereo Madness 2, which imo is even better]), and it immediately struck me as solid alarm music.
It feels like 2006 again.
I always liked the William Tell Overture from the beginning. Starts low key and peaceful and then WAKEUPANDGETOUTOFBEDGETGOINGNOWNOWNOW.

I used the Audacity fork Tenacity to make a friend an infinitely looping version of the Gerudo Valley theme for his morning alarm. Apparently it works really well for him.
It’s a shame Kanye became… well, Kanye, because I used to use Feedback as my morning alarm for years. It was great, like it was made for it.
