Three weeks after the Ontario government passed a law banning ticket resales above face value, secondary marketplace StubHub is lobbying for more clarity on how the cap will be enforced.
Asked about the new May 15 lobbying registration, StubHub spokesperson Jack Sterne told the IJF it “continues to have productive conversations with the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement.”
In the filing, StubHub said it is seeking to discuss provincial policies around live event ticketing, “including consumer protection, compliance, enforcement, related marketplace issues and the removal of the ticket resale price cap provisions” included in Ontario Bill 97.
