Using the word brooding means you’re trying to be brooding?

I mean, the OP is also confused. How is using the word “aurafarm” an attempt to appear cool? No one aurafarms by reciting vocab. And mentioning that you’re aurafarming while you’re doing it, is negative aura.

        If I understand correctly:

        • Using the word “Aurafarm,” what with it being new slang, is an attempt to appear cool and sophisticated.

        • The word allows you to express a longer concept that would take a sentence by itself, which is how it is “low effort”

No one aurafarms by reciting vocab

I would say they do. People like to be on top of slang, many people like to learn new words and then endeavour to use them correctly in speech or writing.

However it does seem to me like that OP has a negative view of the word and is criticising it, when they say “the term itself is doing exactly that” - like they think it is a misguided attempt to look cooler and be more concise. Usually aurafarming means someone passess off style and grace successfully, but it does get used in OP’s sense of “pandering to the audience,” which is what they think “Aurafarm” as a term does in the original image. (Seen here:)

I also appreciate not_IO’s comment that points out the word mogging would be more appropriate here: https://sh.itjust.works/post/64747931/26805632
