I’ll accept a brutal course of treatment or poor treatment at the hands of medical professionals for this question.

I drove myself to work directly from surgery and worked a 12 hour shift in a 100° factory with only regular Tylenol to soothe the pain. why? because I’m American. and no, that was not a statement made with pride.
