I’m poor, so I qualify for the accommodation supplement. I’m trying to find a better job, but it’s dead out there.

My accommodation supplement was suspended in May, pending income confirmation. I gave them everything at my next appointment in June.

JUNE.

I’m still waiting for it to be reinstated. Every time I ring, they say they’ve made an enquiry to processing, but they haven’t replied.

FOUR MONTHS, and I’m still waiting. Apparently, there is no means of communication between departments. No one can just call a supervisor, find out whose desk it’s sitting on, and get a direct answer as to why it’s not being done.

I just needed to vent because I’m bashing my head against a wall here.

    I have immaculate references and tons of experience and skill. I can’t get a job. Every interview goes perfectly. I vibe well, answer questions well, and am a great fit for the role. But they had 500+ applicants and only one of them needs to beat me.

    I don’t know if it’s going to get any better any time soon. At least we can vote for something better.
