    unpopular opinion: the “i am no man” line from from the movie was cringe and eye roll inducing, and the multiple lines from the book weren’t much better. it’s the silliest play on words in the world. still feels like slapstick.

      Honestly, I felt it was dunking on Shakespeare a bit - the witches in Macbeth tell him that “Be bloody, bold, and resolute. Laugh to scorn The power of man, for none of woman born Shall harm Macbeth.” and the twist is that Macduff was a C-section baby. Which isn’t exactly rare anymore. The “I am no man” is the better solution, lol.

      I have no idea why you would think it’s cringe. It’s entirely true, and Sauron couldn’t tell there was a woman in that armor.
