When I’m warming up to 3d scenes in anime thinking that they’ve become so good that I can look past them, this show comes around with the jarring cgi straight out of 2010. This would now need good story and characters to make up for it but It’s a miss there as well. The characters feel like 1 dimensional tropes and the conclusion to story arc this episode was “the girl needed a cheer”. My first drop this season.

Felt like a gacha game adaptation and a tourism ad wrapped into one. The characters didn’t seem to have more than one character trait each and we never really learn anyone’s motivations other than “I want to hurry up and become a witch” and “I want to take good pictures”. A lot of the plot felt like a video game tutorial, which is especially bad since it doesn’t seem like this has a game tie-in. The musical number was fine for what it was, but it was hard to tell what they were accomplishing with it since the customer of the week didn’t have very well defined problems. Overall, I give this premiere a 1/5.

Banger first episode. It’s been a while since an anime made me laugh so hard.
