    It’s unknowable how fast anything is moving in an absolute sense, because there is no absolute reference frame against which to measure anything. And yet there’s the same absolute speed limit between each & every thing and each & every other thing.

    It’s an NMNM (at least) body problem, but in lieu of that, here’s a literal back of the envelope for the the speed of the earth relative to the sun.

    If all the water is evaporated from Earth by then, I wonder what sort of life may be present on Earth when the collision happens?
