I think about how some languages like Japanese are like this, and then I think about how stereotypical “caveman” grammar in English is kind of structured like those languages, and I get a little uncomfortable at the implications…

As a fellow wonderer of strange things, all I have to say is keep wondering, my friend :)
The comics are one thing, but then they made a show… oof
Wait that’s really what it stands for? I keep seeing some commotion over it every so often but I thought it was just an abbreviation of a country or something.
Damn, you went and used the hard “R” and everything… not cool man.
Exactly, they never quite explain what “processing” is, or why it’s bad. Just makes me think of people that say “chemicals” as if they are automatically a bad thing. It’s like, dude… water is a chemical!
No it’s because all the Apple emulator users being reckless as fuck, flocking to the site all at once to try games they could have emulated on PC for decades now…
They were a little too far away to tell them without basically shouting, but in hindsight I probably should have done so. I was just so dumbfounded at how selfish and unaware of their surroundings they were.
I should have! Instead, once they started leaving i just slammed my cart into that one to push it outta the way.
The first type are the worst. Encountered one of those the other day when shopping. They just left their shopping cart next to the conveyor belt at checkout, literally blocking me from pushing mine forward so i could load up the belt. I nudged it a little, but they didnt react. Then suddenly, the cashier asked if a jar of peanut butter at the end of the belt was theirs. They were like “oh, yes it is”.
I thought they would grab it and also see that they left their cart in my way, and move it. Nope they grabbed the PB and handed it to the cashier, finished checking out, and left with all their shit in bags, sans cart. Absolutely ridiculous!
Well can’t some other ship from Singapore come by and pickup the crew and take them back?
That’s an interesting concept: holding a pic of someone (presumably it gets updated every few years?) for like 15 years, imagining all these possibilities the whole time, and then finally meeting them and realizing, “nope not for me”.
Yes. Lot of ignorant people out there.
Every time this view point is parroted, they either imply or outright state the company will be sued/break the law because they didn’t do their best to make money. Notice how they used words like “need”, “swearing an oath”, etc. I’ve seen it time and time again on here and on Reddit, it’s tiresome at this point. The companies are just greedy, and know they can pretty much get away with stuff like this, end of story.
Downvoting you because this is factually incorrect. They WANT the profit, but it’s not illegal to not make a certain amount of profit, that’s silly.
I’ve heard it’s actually both! Which sucks, like I love the efficiency aspect of LEDs, but some of them really are not built well…
That’s what I’ve heard, yeah. I bought this lightpad thing on Amazon for tracing, and after using it maybe 30 mins or so I felt SUPER off the rest of the day, it was awful. Pretty sure that thing has the shittiest quality LED nodes available.
For me it’s the damn LED lights. I heard how they work is basically by constantly turning on and off and on and off at a speed imperceptible to us, but the end effect is that they are basically strobe lights. So those of us susceptible to strobe lights can get migraines if exposed to them for too long in one sitting.
What I don’t get is how there seem to be only a few remaining food types that people of certain ethnicities can’t tolerate. Like, some people can’t tolerate cow milk, some can’t tolerate wheat, because they didn’t have those things thousands of years ago. But like, most of the planet didn’t have most of the types of food available now until relatively recently, so why don’t you hear of more people being allergic to tomatoes, potatoes, mustard, etc?
Speaking of unnecessary dental procedures: veneers… hoo boy, so many people (especially celebrities) get them unnecessarily, and permanently fuck up their teeth as a result.
