Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Feels like good old Asimov could have written it. The remake is also pretty good so far.
May I ask out of curiosity what led to the decision that this was a good idea?
Since she has horns (are these horns?) I’d call some scientists over. This might be the biggest discovery of all time. An extraterrestrial or extra dimensional lifeform? This would change everything!
If anyone can tell me how to get rid of the bar at the bottom, that would be nice. I don’t need a taskbar or a line, it’s a fucking tablet.
I takes a few millimetres of real estate, it sucks.
Edit: Android 12.
Bob Roberts. It’s more relevant than ever!
If you are not sure how to search for a specific problem and can just describe it in a few sentences then it’s definitely worth the effort.
And for the state many search engines are in today that is sometimes the better way to find stuff.
Isn’t that this Windows imitation I sometimes hear about?
(I have a death wish I guess)
But on a serious side: I need an easy to use Linux system next year for my parents who are not very tech savvy. Do you have a recommendation for easy use that feels like Windows? It will only be used for browsing, open office and stuff.
I have a bunch of retro machines, and one of them is running XP. Not long ago I enjoyed No one lives forever on it. Nothing beats the correct hardware.
Regarding fixes, Service Pack 2 is enough. And since Steam is not supporting retro machines anymore there is no reason to connect it to the internet anymore, thankfully gog let’s me download the installers, all the more reason to use gog exclusively. At least for my special gaming tastes.
Asimov’s Foundation. That got me back into reading after around twenty years. Now I read one book a month, mostly sci fi, for nine years now.
Thank you Isaac Asimov, I could not imagine a life without reading anymore.
I watched “The man who knew too much” from the 50s yesterday. Doris Day might be the female role he likes. Obedient. Her husband tells her what to do, she is on a nervous breakdown constantly. Good times?
I prefer modern women anytime!!
The same farmers will protest in 10 years when their harvests will be destroyed constantly by heatwaves and draughts. “We had no idea…”
Thank you! I have about 5 games on steam, so I haven’t installed it on my system. The only interesting one is Doom 2016, so for a moment I thought I could download the installer as a backup without having to use steam anymore in the future when I do want to play it again. Would have been nice. Thanks for clarifying!
So no installer then? Or can you download that separately?
So it’s possible to download the installer through steam, store it somewhere and ten years later I can just start the installer without having steam on my system?
Asking out of curiosity, I don’t use steam, I never thought that would be possible?
I replayed Mirror’s Edge a few days ago, with modern hardware in 4k, it still feels stunning! It has aged exceptionally well, thanks to the art style.
The only thing I did not like were the fights. They slow the gameplay and just felt tacked on as an afterthought, thankfully many fights can be avoided by simply running past the enemy.
Highly recommended!
I did not know this trailer, thank you! Awesome movie!!
That Gabe that made not owning shit you paid for popular?
Don’t harass Ubisoft. /s
Ignore him.
My friends all had A500s and I was the only one with a PC, I envied them so much. Next Christmas my parents had a surprise for me in my father’s home office, and behold, a 386, soundblaster and a colour VGA monitor. Thanks to the hard drive now I was the one envied :).
But up to this day, even though I never owned one myself the Amiga has forever a special place in my heart! Great memories with good friends!
It was the same for me with the guy with the hamster in Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2. He’s a favourite to everyone, to me he was just an annoying idiot.
