I use Mastodon for that mainly because I started using it first back when Twitter was first sold.

When this whole mess started, I dropped it by deleting my accounts. I’ve clicked on a link maybe two times going there and did check out a local sports team’s sub once last week but actively avoid it most of the time.

There was always so much more cool stuff than I could justify buying at the time.

I’ve made my own sriracha-type sauce a few times. Both fermented and non-fermented. It turned out great (better than Fong’s imo) just using this Serious Eats post from 2012. It’s worth trying if you gotta have it.

Congrats on taking the step. I axed my 12-year old account at the start of all this. I’ve had moments where I doubted that decision, sure, but the fediverse does seem to be growing. There’s more and more activity every day.

Still full-time remote. The traditionally California-based company I work for is now spread out across the US - not sure how they could even reel that back in.

Thinks seem to be picking up in the Threadiverse, so something definitely changed. It’s nowhere near Reddit levels of activity but getting better. Personally, my 12 year account is now gone which is significant for me.

It has been common in other parts of the Fediverse - Mastodon for example.
