May I ask what distro you’re using?
I’ve been experimenting with DEs on a low end machine (celeron n3010, 2gb ram), and so far, I’m still on xfce, but I forgot to test Enlightenment. Gonna give it a try.
I use gnome on my main machines, but looking to migrate to cosmic, and I use xfce on more limited devices.
I like the kde project, but I tend not to use it, because I find it a bit overwhelming, even after customizing it, it’s hard to explain. I have issues with too many elements in front of me.
I never though about it in that way hahahah. Makes total sense.
Or are proprietary software the ones purposely generating trash?
I didn’t know most answers, my mind kinda works with the concepts. The ball was there, but there was no color, not even a grayscale, but the absence of color ( I have difficulty imagining colors in general), the pweson was there, and was a woman, but with no face of features. I don’t even know if i really pictured a woman, or if my mind worked on that after seeing the questions. The table was there, but was simply a plane for the ball to be on, without features.
Now that I write this, it seems weird. Do people picture scenarios like this as if seeing a real scene? Can this be related to aphantasia? Should I be worried?
My mom used to have an epson lx-300+ printer for her small shop, and it was awesome. We printed a lot of stuff and the ribbon lasted for ages. This was my only experience with dot matrix printers, and it was a nice one.
Hey, I felt attacked here kkkkkkkkkk. Oh, I mean lol, sorry
The title made me think that they would start releasing games for linux :(
Tuxpaint is also a nice software to add to your list
I didn’t mean the choice of image format is a monopolistic behavior, but that the monopoly puts google in a position that any choice they make, be it a good or bad one, becomes an industry standard, without others having any choice in it.
And here we have a clear example of how Chrome’s almost monopoly is a bad thing for us.
Some good trolling they did out there lol
Don’t forget the mass manipulation of public opinion. There are a lot of players out there doing that all the time. From companies making ads that look like silly posts, and paying people or using bots to speak ill of the competition, to media agencies spreading fake news aiming at shifting people’s political views.
Yes, it is, although they don’t seem to take a collaborative development approach, but you can grab the source and create derivative works.
Since no one mentioned yet, Tales of Maj’Eyal deserves some love too. One of the best roguelikes out there…
I will only believe when I see the data
Both
Windows isn’t only losing markershare to linux, but also to android and ios. That can be seen in the chart for all OSes, also available in that site:
https://gs.statcounter.com/os-market-share#monthly-201501-202407
It’s also interesting to notice that linux is growing in that chart, which means that linux is really growing in popularity, and it’s not just an effect of the desktop market possibly shrinking or something.
I read it as criticizing consumerism culture and the idea that technology alone can save us without changing that system
