    In the original, the macaw says “gros plein d’soupe,” which means literally something like “big-full-soup,” or figuratively “fat slob.”

    Kind of an interesting example of an earlier album being a bit rough around the edges in multiple ways. One, in not being a very fun expression / translation, and two in being directly mean-spirited, whereas Hergé would later come to be quite silly in terms of insults and put-downs.
