When I read this as a kid I was like: who the heck says “Great Greedy Guts” anyway? To this day I have not yet heard it “in the wild” as an insult.
In the original, the macaw says “gros plein d’soupe,” which means literally something like “big-full-soup,” or figuratively “fat slob.”
Kind of an interesting example of an earlier album being a bit rough around the edges in multiple ways. One, in not being a very fun expression / translation, and two in being directly mean-spirited, whereas Hergé would later come to be quite silly in terms of insults and put-downs.

I thought it was neat how Ridgewell appeared so early in the series and then again near the end, around 40yrs later. I guess Chiang’s arc was similar, and Rasta’s even longer at ~55yrs.
Also a rare case of the album’s villains visibly meeting their maker, altho Hergé handled that like a champ IMO.
