I regret to inform you that cryptogeography does exist, it’s in that weirdly nazi end of the Atlantis myth which supposes the existence of Lemuria, Hyperboria and most alarmingly Thule.
I was very confused but not particularly surprised that Conan the Barbarian had spawned a Nazi conspiracy theory until I realized I was a dumbass and that was Hyboria.
On the other hand, now I realize what myth he was ripping off with the name which is honestly pretty great because it was the only reference I didn’t get lol
