I share the same sentiment towards corporate. I’d also remove/conceal big brand logos like this when I can, or I’d shop for things without visible logos to begin with.

I do, however, like to wear band merch. Bands that are just as happy to see me as I’m happy to see them. People I can go and talk to at the merch stand. People who, funded through merch and shows, will have the means to record another album.

Good thing you really censored that logo so no one will know it’s wranglers you’re advertising for in this post.

If it’s on a shirt or jacket I’ll find an iron on patch I like and cover it sometimes.

I’m glad whoever made this did such a good job censoring out the brand, I might have thought it was subtle advertising otherwise.

One thing I learned from punk rock: it’s OK to cut things off your clothes, or sew things on, or attach things with safetypins, etc. In fact, it’s encouraged.

I do this or black tape over logos on electronics. Feels so good you look around your house and not see any logos.

Yes, the reason that I put black tape over my electronics is because they’re old hulks of shit falling to pieces to hide logos. Yeah, that!

First thing I do anytime I purchase a vehicle is to remove the dealership decal… I should do this with my clothes as well.

The amount of dealership license plate frames I see on cars blows my mind. I could see someone not wanting to put forth the effort in properly removing the decals, for fear of damaging their pant job, but the plate frame is a no-brainer.

I honestly can’t believe it’s legal. It would be like if Target opened up all your kids toys and put Target logos on the toy inside. The car comes wrapped with plastic and protective things all over them. They literally remove that and stick their own fucking logo on them.

Dude, save those big brain ideas for small talks. Don’t give those silly managers ideas to keep them employed.

In my state the dealerships don’t glue their logos to your car, only give you the license plate cover. The first time I bought a car somewhere else I asked them to take it off before they gave it to me. The guy gave me a look but did it anyway, but it was gone when I got possession.

And they have a right to tell you “sure thing, we’ll get that removed” and conveniently leave it out of the contract and tell you “oh, sorry, remove it yourself.”

And then you leave them a bad review and it stays there for a week and the owner replies saying they’re sowwwy and then Google removes your review.

Which is wild to me. First thought was also inside. Then I thought, I’m looking at the back pocket of some pants. But to have that ugly tag in the middle of your chest is ridiculous.

Did you read the fine print on your purchase contract? They’re entitled to that advertising space. They are now legally permitted to tattoo their logo on your forehead.
