Stephanie Grisham, Donald Trump’s former press secretary, excoriated the Republican presidential nominee at the Democratic national convention on Tuesday, saying: “He has no empathy, no morals, and no fidelity to the truth.”

Grisham, a Republican operative who also served as a spokesperson to Melania Trump, offered firsthand accounts of the former president’s behavior behind closed doors.

“I wasn’t just a Trump supporter, I was a true believer, I was one of his closest advisers. The Trump family became my family,” she said, saying she spent her holidays at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. “I saw him when the cameras were off … Trump mocks his supporters. He calls them basement dwellers. On a hospital visit one time when people were dying in the ICU, he was mad that the cameras were not watching him.”

Isn’t that like super illegal? I mean… Not that it matters at this point, throw it on the pile. But still

I mean, the idea of using the White House as a promotional gimmick is illegal.

        Donnie don’t care.

True story. Back in 2016 I got into it online with a MAGoo. Trump had just pled guilty to running his University as a scam. The MAGoo was fine with Trump ripping off the students, because it was the fault of the students for not reading the terms and conditions.

In the article it said that the terms of the contest said that if it did not happen, a substitute prize would be chosen. Then, it said that it was reported a couple (from Mississippi) won it. Those details weren’t confirmed independently, but they probably wriggled enough to be off the hook.

Yes, because nothing says honor and integrity like “terms and conditions may apply.”

The point is that Donnie wouldn’t let most of his supporters into a life raft, much less the White House.

It’s a contest and they are required to have terms and conditions–look it up. It’s a technicality and Trump thinks he’s better than us poors, but it makes it legal, not the right thing to do. If there was evidence he never intended to have dinner with them, that would be illegal.

It’s amazing that this might shock insignificant republicans, if they faced reality and understood the facts of the matter.

Don’t worry, they’ll never figure it out. They’re idiots.

All these Republicans speak at the DNC… but are they out there saying these things to other Republicans? I’d be willing to bet lots of right wing voters won’t hear this message unless someone starts saying it through their regular communication channels. It’s preaching to the converted.

It won’t matter if they hear it they’ll dismiss it as “Yeah a FORMER Republican operative, they just have a vendetta against him so obviously they’re lying.”

It happens with every Trump admin personnel that has left and spilled the beans about how horrible he is.

One thing that should be noted to his supporters is that none of the people in Trump’s previous administration want to work with him and have nothing good to say about him. If the people closest to him think he is inept, why the hell should his supporters think differently?

Edit: Totally missed the part about this being at the DNC. Next thing that should be noted to Trump supporters: why does he consistently hire what they now deem to be RINOs?

Political affiliation has never mattered to Donald Trump and more Republicans need to come to grasp with that fact.

For Don the Con, loyalty to him comes above everything else, including the Republican party. If/when someone strays from that, they get thrown under the bus.

Thing is, even if they showed Trump’s supporters video of Trump maligning them like this (and they believed it to be not fake), it wouldn’t make any difference in their support. Because they would convince themselves that Trump meant everybody but them.

When I first bought my house, the first thing i did was remodel and finish the basement.

I put the new master bath there, along with an office and living room.

It’s easier to keep comfortable in every season, is easier to block light out of (I work nights) and there’s less noise coming in from outside.

We should all become hobbits, and I don’t like being confused with the idiot trolls that are his base.

I’d be happy hanging out mostly in my basement since it’s relatively toasty in the winter and downright chilly in summer, but I just can’t bear the lack of sunlight. I need regular bright daylight to keep the depression away.

I’ve found vivariums or houseplants with sunlight LED’s to be a great way to bring that indoors. (I’m practically a vampire, so that’s been a struggle regardless of where my room is.)

Vivariums are great and relatively low maintenance if they’re set up right. (and they’re really not hard to set up, to be honest.)

but, eh, to each their own.

even if you don’t! radon can and will spread to the whole house.

modern (or modernized) houses with sealed sumps that vent out to the ceiling are quite safe, though, but you should still check occasionally. (and the testing kits are not all that expensive or hard to use.)

This is why I hate aligning with a political party because you never know what you’re going to get generation from generation, though the Republicans have been rotting from the inside out for a long time. Trump didn’t happen overnight.

But more to the point, it’s completely rational for people to reject politicians who view them with disdain or contempt, which is why Democrats shouldn’t belittle or demean Americans who have been duped into some cult like programming. Republicans who want to swing vote should be encouraged by letting them know that them rejecting politicians who don’t want their best interests is completely reasonable

The only people trump hasn’t maligned yet are the dictators and Epstein. He’s shat on the military, his peers, his employees, the intelligence community, other races, women, other religions, the environmentalists, even other billionaires, his supporters, his donors…. I mean really he just shits on everyone except those he thinks have more power than he does.
